Not possible to pay separately (nonsense for Italy), bread only for extra payment if you do not eat a gigantic pasta portion alone (another nonsense for Italy)

Whenever friends visit Trento and are craving pizza, I always take them here. While there are a couple other pizzerias that can beat Alla Grotta's pizza, the combination of atmosphere, plenty of sitting space, large food portions, and still a decent pizza win out every time. Personally, I like their Youpeedoo pizza, which is the best pizza with American "pepperoni"... More

The place was packed with locals. We made the mistake to order appetizer and main dish. When the food arrived we could not believe our eyes. Such huge plates. Nobody can eat all that by themselves. No take-out, unless its Pizza. We did not even eat half of our food and felt bad sending it back. Everything was delicious, and... More

No good food no good holiaday. That is how I see it. Unfortunately we found this Pizzeria a little late in our holiday. It was our last night in Trento and we wanted to get to a new restaurant. We found Alla Grotta hidden in one of the beautiful narraw streets of Trento, in a street just round the corner... More

Food is not superb or bad, you can find much better pizza in Trento. The attention is the problem. Normally when a group of friends goes to eat outside, at the end we can pay separate. Here they just told us "this is the total, if you want to split it just divide it by all of you". And then... More

I've been here for lunch 3 times. I work near by and they don't have a big staff for the size of the restaurant, so when the restaurant is full you might have to wait a while get service. However once you order the food comes in very fast (10 minutes tops). I have only ordered pizzas and they are... More

As every other reviewer I should say that portions are huge. However, the food quality is not bad. It could have been better, of course, but prices compensate it. That's a good place to spend a nice evening with friends. Nothing special, but simply good.

Pizzeria "Alla Grotta" seems to be a highly crowded restaurant -thought not so noisy- that is frequented by both locals and foreigners. The service was ok, although we had to wait until the waitress came because she thought we had already been served. Pizzas are big, a bit more than the dish where these are served, but not difficult to... More

Most important: Salad and low-carb appetizers served here. Also, you will get along by speaking english. Restaurant was pretty full even though it was off-season (February). I odered the "plate of the house (tagliere della casa), an appetizer(!), and didn't manage to finish it off. The other guests had pizza in the size of car wheels, way bigger than the... More
