Classy but unpretentious

Discovered this little restaurant while walking somewhat aimlessly around Trento. Delighted by the effortless combination of old and new design inside (they've preserved bits of the old building but added to it tastefully with restrained steel elements). Food was excellent, service friendly and efficient. House wines were really above average. Little on the pricey side but here you get what... More

Just off the main square but not easy to find - we stumbled across it one evening and booked a table before going elsewhere for a drink. On our return (slightly late) our table was still there for us and we were very glad as we had course after course of great food. The group I was with had a... More

The environment is nice, personell is nice, the food is good. I had a business lunch with a colleague of mine. I had a starter, a second course, water, coffee and a glass of wine (nero d'avola) for 37 euros. As starter, we had "tartare", both the meat and the fish one. They were good. The service was efficient but,... More

Although only a couple of minutes walking from the main square of Trento ins't exactly easy to find. The restaurant is of a modern design with good selection of wines either local and from other regions. We went there to taste something very local and were at bit surprise to see that most of the dishes were based on fish... More

After a rather enthusing seafood dinner last Summer, this time we went for a mostly pasta and meat dinner. We had one seafood dish, the same as last time, an octopus salad: how disappointing! Where has the excellent olive oil gone? Where has the nice cooking of the octopus gone? A lasagna with vegetables and Asiago cheese was terrible: an... More

You'll find homely cuisine here, but with high level produce that projects the experience above that of an average trattoria. There are no great culinary creations, often the ingredients are repeated in several dishes, but there is a wonderful balance and intensity of flavours in the the condiments and accompaniments to good seafood (we had an all seafood dinner): a... This is a very nice restaurant in the city center of Trento. Nice both for a romantic dinner, but also for a business dinner, if you want to impress the customers with very good food. Although Trento is in the mountains, in this restaurant you can find very good fish dishes (I remark also that the meat dishes are good... More

We also stumbled upon this terrific trattoria while in Trento on business recently. It's an old stone building that's been tastefully renovated. The ground floor is a wine bar, and the upstairs mezzanine is the restaurant. The tables are nicely spaced out, and the whole place has a very comfortable airy modern atmosphere, unlike the traditional stuffy old-fashioned trattorie that... More

I found the restaurant as most other reviews describe it: very nice but informal. Everything we ate was very good, both in quality and in presentation. We paid about 40€ per person for a main course, a side order, a dessert, and two glasses of wine. Expect to add 30€ if you aim at the full three-course dinner (adding entree... More
