Terrace of rare natural beauty of the city of Trento , Locanda Margon is born by the will of the family Lunelli , owner of Cantine Ferrari , as a place of excellence and experimentation for innovative combinations with bubbles . It takes its name from the nearby Villa Margon, a splendid century representative office of the Ferrari . Excellent

This restaurant is a hidden jewel. A tortuous mountain road brings you to this very welcoming restaurant. The menu chosen by the chef was exquisite together with the wide variety of excellent wines. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes refined cuisine.

The food is good, the place nice (hard to reach, anyway), but something is missing. May be they made it too 'Chateu Relais' like, they are interpreting a style that is not truly theirs. The prices, for what you get, are even cheap, but something is not there. I can't deny it: I got the impression that they were following... More

Superb inventive food using great local ingredients, beautifully paired with the amazing selections of Ferrari's sparkling wines! Definitely a place I will be back to!

In some restaurants you simply eat well. At the Locanda not only do you do that, but you also have a gastronomic and intellectual adventure. What is the relationship between a dish of tripe and the Titanic? What is this thing looking like a small pizza doing in the petit fours? Alfio Ghezzi, the chef, makes you curious, amuses you... I had lunch at this restaurant near Trento, in a high and beautiful site not far from Ferrari, of the famous sparkling wines (which own the restaurant too). You can sit and appreciate the view of the valley and mountains of Trentino. Fine installations, very professional service, and most excellent food. This is a Michelin-starred place, but if you choose... More

The restaurant is located on the mountain above Trento, near the highway exit named “Trento sud”, and it’s about 1,5 km from the “Ferrari” plant where they produces the most famous Italian “spumante”. The “Locanda Margon” is owned by the Lunelli Family, the same owners of the spumante “Ferrari”. In the restaurant you can choose the veranda, where you can... More

Have been here several times, and every time it gets better - some special effect dishes (the mont blanc served with its own fog patch, a beautiful salmerino (local type of trout) served in a dish with a little "moat" where a saturated salt solution is turned into a solid, juniper infused ice glacier (I know, sounds weird, it is... First, a note of caution. If you are looking for budget dining, or a lively atmosphere, look somewhere else. Locanda Margon is a restaurant on a mission & that mission clearly has a lot to do with those nice people who make tyres & sometimes give out stars. The restaurant has two dining options, 'Veranda', a brasserie style & 'Salotto... More

I happened to be in Trento area for business. By the inviting company I was taken to this place. At first site it looks the look; very nice setting, even beter view. Also inside the restaurant it had the atmosfere of à decent restaurant. Then the disappointment started, first off all the service was poor. On several occasions we had... More
