Very good - go on a BBQ night

Visited twice, both times when they were cooking outdoors to order. Really friendly, good food, reasonable value, good location. All in all worth going, and worth returning. Probably our equal top restaurant location in Merano - from our trip at least!

A beautiful, old building with an amazing view over Merano and the valley. It would be the perfect place for a light lunch or a drink. Sadly it is grossly overpriced. Yeah, it is a bit of a climb, but Saxifraga is very much worth the effort. With a seasonal menu that changes frequently, and a focus on local food producers, it'd be hard to go wrong. And then there are the views over Merano and the valley - simply the best place to have lunch.

This restaurant makes sure you leave with a smile. Whether it is sunny or raining, you can always eat outside at the large terrace. Food and wine are great. Service with a smile and good knowledge of the wine.

Lovely position just a little stroll along the Tappeiner Way - an easy flatish walk. Great views
