The small menu is heavy on meat choices. This is not the place for vegetarians or even someone who wants fish or chicken. We shared the steak Florentino with vegetables, and there was enough to the portion to feed four people, not just the two it was meant to serve. We had a good bottle of red wine along with... More

Came in for a late dinner at 7:30 during the off-season. Plenty of space, but only one waitperson (plus the bartender helping out). The quality of the food was excellent. The salad bar was outstanding (so fresh, it's probably locally grown). The items with the local bacon speciality were also particularly good (Speck Knödel and Krautsalat with Speck). We also... Found this restaurant through a Rick Steves's guidebook recommendation. Very nice dining room, traditional menu, pleasant and professional service. Salad bar. I had the lamb and it was good. Altogether, a good experience.

We wandered in here one Sunday evening when everywhere else seemed to be closed. And what wonderful happenstance it was. For starters the surroundings were wonderful - we later found that the dining room was unchanged since the 1880s. The food was perfectly presented and seasoned - we had Duck and Rump-steak. Our waitress was helpful and attentive throughout the... More

Food was very good and the staff attentive and helpful. We don't speak the local language and so relied on their recommendations which were excellent.

My friends and I wandered into this restaurant. The food was all very good. The staff was wonderful. They were welcoming and attended to everything we requested. The patio is lovely during the summer. Out of all the places we dined in Castelrotto, this was our favorite. We went back for more!
