Nice meal

We had a nice meal at this restaurant. It was a bit too forward-thinking for my family however and some of the dishes we tried were a tad too exotic. This is a failure on our part I believe not the restaurants. They have two dining rooms one is more modern and the other is older and beautifully... read more

We ate here their last night of their season (mid-October). The food was superb and the service very good. It offers both Italian and German/Austrian food. Both were delicious.

Talk about your German efficiency. This place did a stunningly good job preparing and serving a three-course meal to 21 of us who were seated at the same time. Granted, they had advanced notice. But still, this food was amazing in every way. Great speck strudel appetizer, pork shank entree, and panna cotta dolce. They also flawlessly served individual drink... More

We had dinner in the very elegant dining room. It is quite a large room and there were only a few of us in this area. There was a large group in the more casual dining area. The service was excellent and very informative. My rack of lamb and my husband's veal were cooked to perfection. We were very surprised... More

It was the most delicious food we had in town. All was perfect. Sad we found the restaurant on our last evening. They had such a variety of different and special dishes. All we tried was unbelievable good! A soup made out of marron with cinnamon croutons. Buckwheat spaetzle with bacon and leek. And last but not least four different... More

Our hotel steered us to Zum Turn (Alla Torre in Italian) on our second night, after we had had a very nice dinner at Saalstuben the first evening. They said this was better, but in our experience it was inferior. Wait staff were great, but the food was at best average. We had the salad bar (house dressing unimaginative, vegetable... More

Our hotel proprietor recommended this restaurant. Unfortunately we waited until our last day to eat here...our mistake it was easily our best dining experience in the town of Castelrotto. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable for the quality. . The staff was very friendly and service was all that one could want. If you want a great... More

Six of us ate here two out of the three nights we stayed in Castlerotto. The first night some of us had the stuffed lamb with potatoes and vegetables and it was so excellent we went back again for a repeat of the same dish. My spouse and I shared the lamb and one order of the salad bar (... More
