Tasty lunch

While staying in Selva, we visited Bolzano for the day. A nice, pretty town to wander around. We had a very pleasant lunch - hearty but nourishing - at Hopfen & Co. Friendly, efficient service.

In Bolzano and looking for a place with great local food and beer? Look no further. Get the Beer and Bacon Dumplings and don't forget to check out they're specials list. Be warned though, English is not completely understood (ask for another beer, they will bring you another but a different kind. Tell them you don't want any more bread,... More

I don't drink beer (sorry) but everyone says that their beer is very good. Ok, a very good (and not expensive) beer. That's all. The place is overcrowded, and filthy. Only one (dirty) toilet for more than one hundred people. Food is edible, however quality is a different thing. Prices are reasonable. Staff is inadeguate: it happens to be "transparent",... More

Nice attempt at a trendy brew pub. The atmosphere is great and the food was very good. But, as a 20+ year homebrewer and 30+ year beer drinker, I have to say the beer was pretty bad. I tried the Helles, and it was almost undrinkable...cloudy, chillhazed, and estery(banana)...tasted like a failed Hefeweizen fermented at 75 degrees and served too... More

the most part of famous restaurants in Bozen are closed on Sunday evening so I came here by chance and I got a good surprise: they offer mostly local dishes from South Tirol, good quality at reasonable price! I recommend the soup with fresh ginger (6 Euros). Good selection of beers.

I have read great review, but will have to write this one because it seems either they can't handle it when we are 30 or they do not care. We came as a big group, had prior reserved and a menu was arranged. We came two days in a row as it was already reserved. The food was awful, service... More

We enjoyed our meal here. It was recommended as typical food from the region. They brew their own beer and we enjoyed the dark beer. We got there about 7 pm and by 7.30 they were queuing up to get a table

Not surprising to find excellent German food in this part of northern Italy but this little brewery restaurant took it one step further. From goulash to sandwiches to a cold meat platter (and on site brewed beer) this was Bavaria in Italy. I am not sure we will be back Bozen/Bolzano but if we are we know where we are... More

This restaurant is a GEM. We ate here on 3 different occasions during the 10-days in Bolzano. We had the services of a waiter named Navid on 2 of those occasions. Although his demeanor was professional, his contact skills with patrons left me feeling as a source of his tip and nothing more. HOWEVER, do not let this comment deter... More
