Went there with a conference group. Only one menu selection but still very expensive considering that the main course was served like a buffet (big pan in the middle for everyone to take from). Service personal was also rude (even to each other in front of the guest). The food quality (German style food) was good.

Would rate this a 3.5 star place based on food and service. However, outdoor seating is great as well as the beer. Reasonable prices.

A very popular restaurant and brew house at the edge of the old city. On Friday evening of the Mondiale's football game, the place was full. We found a small table outside, on the street, under the grape leaves. We ordered a Salad for starters. For our entree we had the house special, Spareribs and Tagliata di Manzo [Which is... More

Lively place. Excellent beers, and friendly staff. The lunches are most enjoyable. Only downside is that at busy times service could be slow. The own-brewed beers are a must.

We had some trouble locating this restaurant as it is a bit away from the crowded tourist areas. It is on the corner where Vintergasse meets Via Andreas Hofer. A nice delivery man stopped to answer us in German but we got enough of the gist to find the place. This restaurant serves Tyrolean dishes which is the main reason... More

The four do us each ordered something different and each was perfectly pleased. The salad, the ribs, the roast-- everything did us well. And the setting and staff are superb. It's busy; everybody in town obviously knows this place. The patio is filled on televised game nights with throngs of cheering or groaning fans.

Our food was AMAZING!! We had a beef roast with potatoes and veggies, pork knuckle with sauerkraut, pasta with chestnuts, and wrstel with a pretzel for the child. We ordered 3 different beers and everyone enjoyed theirs. The place filled up fast and we were there at 630pm. I would recommend reservations if you plan to dine there. The walk... More

This is a great place to try Local dishes, it was very crowded and we ended up sharing table with two other couples. Beautiful restaurant with great service and is not touristy at all; we only saw locals eating there and every dish was fantastic. we would go back if we didn't have to leave Bolzano. Also, great beer :)

Sunday night in Bolzano and found this gem ( with help from our Hotel Greif). All that I wanted. Good beer and a warm, hearty meal. Simple enough. Went back the next day to purchase a tee shirt and beer glass.
