Landed at this restaurant after a suggestion was made by a local friend that this was an "authentic" piedmontese restaurant. Being the beginning of autumn we were eager to eat mushrooms and were not disappointed. I had an antipasto that took me back to my childhood: a salad of raw Ovuli Reali (the orange egg-looking Amanita Cesarea mushroom). Probably one... More

We went here in the past few years a few times, and enjoyed the quality of food and service. This time we were placed in a small room (2 meters x 6 meters) at a small table. Service was very poor and several errors were made. The owner understood that it was unacceptable and offered the aperitif and the coffee... More

We drove down from La Grave, in the French Alps, to have dinner in Italy. Once we got beyond the beauty of the Alps we wondered if any meal could really make it worth the trip, and I am happy to say the meal we had at Ristorante Solferino was worth it! The service was beyond anything I have experienced... More

Solferino never disappoints. Service is great, location is ideal and the changing menu with full respect for the seasonal choices of Piemonte is a delight. On our trip the asparagus dishes and the stewed rabbit with vegetables were truly memorable. If you only have one night in Torino, go to Solferino. We certainly will keep coming back.

Great food! Nice atmosphere. Excellent wines. Very good service. We highly recommend this place. A great place and not too expensive. Best place to sit is not in the main room, but in the smaller side room.

A busy restaurant in Turin's inner suburbs offering regional cuisine. There is a reasonable choice of Just the sort of neighbourhood restaurant that everyone needs. On a Sunday lunchtime when most Turin restaurants are closed, it is particularly appreciated by a visitor. Good value.

Great restaurant, friendly service, good food, great ambiance. We had a celebratory dinner here after closing a business deal. We sampled several dishes, including swordfish, fried shrimp, sea bass and entrecôte. All were excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They recommended an excellent local wine and a fantastic "digestif." Would recommend this restaurant to everyone coming to Torino.

This restaurant was not high on our list to visit but we really wanted to try bagna cauda, which the website indicated was "principe della Regione e vera bandiera dei Piemontesi". My wife is a vegetarian and based on the website saying they had Tajarin ai funghi we thought we would be ok. Neither bagna cauda nor Tajarin ai funghi... More
