Our hotel recommended this restaurant and made a reservation for us. Good thing -- as one could not get in without one! Great service providing lots of helpful advice, including best ways for us to split orders (plated together or plated separately was an option!). Delicious artichokes with parmesan, salads, beef ravioli with black truffles, and pumpkin filled -agnolotti. All... More

A most welcoming restaurant in the heart of the city busy with Italian diners which I took to be a good sign. I endorse all that others have said about the impeccably helpful and professional service, clearly people who know the menu and wines very well and can make helpful suggestions. I could not fault my tuna carpaccio, steak and... More

My husband and I dropped by without a reservation and were lucky to get a table. We were in for a treat. The service was excellent. Besides being very courteous, our waiter was helpful with suggestions and very knowledgable about the dishes and ingredients being served. Notwithstanding the restaurant was full, our waiter gave us full attention. The food was... More

Great food of the Torino region and helpful wait staff. Outside dinning a must if the weather is nice, great local wine list at very reasonable prices. Don't forget the cheese as you finish your wine. Tables nearer the street are the best, less wait staff traffic.

Your first impression is very positive and never stops. The location on Piazza Solferino is excellent and the first class ambiance adds to the experience. Seating can be indoors or outdoor.Reservations are a must for this popular and "smart" Turin eatery. The food & wine selection is broad & reasonably priced. The wait staff is very cordial. All of the... More

Landed at this restaurant after a suggestion was made by a local friend that this was an "authentic" piedmontese restaurant. Being the beginning of autumn we were eager to eat mushrooms and were not disappointed. I had an antipasto that took me back to my childhood: a salad of raw Ovuli Reali (the orange egg-looking Amanita Cesarea mushroom). Probably one... More

We went here in the past few years a few times, and enjoyed the quality of food and service. This time we were placed in a small room (2 meters x 6 meters) at a small table. Service was very poor and several errors were made. The owner understood that it was unacceptable and offered the aperitif and the coffee... More

We drove down from La Grave, in the French Alps, to have dinner in Italy. Once we got beyond the beauty of the Alps we wondered if any meal could really make it worth the trip, and I am happy to say the meal we had at Ristorante Solferino was worth it! The service was beyond anything I have experienced... More

Solferino never disappoints. Service is great, location is ideal and the changing menu with full respect for the seasonal choices of Piemonte is a delight. On our trip the asparagus dishes and the stewed rabbit with vegetables were truly memorable. If you only have one night in Torino, go to Solferino. We certainly will keep coming back.
