Excellent authentic trattoria

We came here on the recommendation of the Best Western hotel nearby and were delighted by the choice. Very good antipasti, especially the vitello tonnato, my wife had the brasato (house speciality) - perfect, and I enjoyed a very abundant trippa in umido, peppery and succulent. This restaurant is a 5 minute walk from Best Western Pkus where we are staying. The hitel has a list of restaurants that they recommend and Dai Saletta is on it. To start, we had a plate of mixed local specialties, boiled meat with a mustard sauce, raw meat with Parmesan cheese, a local potato salad, a local soft white... More

We were recommended this restaurant by one of the locals when we asked for a typical restaurant of the region that was not a rip off and we were not disappointed. This was an excellent little find and if you live in Turin or are just visiting you really should put it on your list. Restaurant seems to be family... More

It is a good restaurant for Piemont cuisine but do not expect any greens unless the two side orders and not even a simple salad. Starters (4 options only 1 with cheese and vegetables), 1st dish (6 pasta with meat, 1 pasta with cheese and 1 pasta with mushrooms) and 2nd dish (5 all with meat). It would be a... More

Finally able to try this traditional style trattoria, offering a limited yet well chosen traditional Piedmontese menu. The dining room is simply appointed in a traditional style with the tables setup with conservative red and white chequered tablecloths. I had a mixed hors d'oeuvre (il Rustico, encompassing two pieces of vegetable frittata, veal in tuna and caper sauce, trippa in... More

English: We had a terrific meal in this small restaurant frequented by locals. The preparation of the dishes was just right: authentic flavors and textures beautifully presented. Two hits: a delicious 'tris' of three different first courses, including home-made agnolotti, and a melt-in-your mouth brasato. Our server is the son-in-law of the chefs, and both he and his father-in-law were... More

Dai Saletta is one of the oldest and most typical Piedmontese "trattorie" that Turin has to offer. Rustic setting, friendly but no-frill service and environment, good food typical from the area of Turin and surroundings. If you like garlic (and did not fix a first date or a business meeting immediately after) don't miss their bagna cauda (a garlic, parsley... More
