After a long, hot morning tromping around the Sacro Monte di Orta, I was promised an organic gelato at AgriGelateria. It did not disappoint! The next day, we visited the nearby farm to learn about how organic dairy products are made and to sample some of the excellent and unique cheeses, yogurt and other items. It was really fascinating -... More

Every day, I would walk down to the lake for my adventure (hike/swim) and would look forward to stopping at the AgriGelateria for my treat. It was what I called "the half way" mark to my accommodation. The gelato on all occassions was generous and very good. I found it hard not to go back for more. Highly recommended. Nb.... More

This gelateria is unique because all the milk and cream come from the owners organic farm which we visited in Lake Orta. How many gelaterias have you visited and actually met the farmer who started the whole process of presenting to you an organic gelato? That's special!!! Couldn't be more fresh!! Try the cheeses and yogurt too at the farm.

After trying agrifolio cheese and yoghurt both of which were lovely my daughter and I tried the icecream. Compared with others that I have eaten even in orta this was very sweet and sickly and not nice. My daughter had chocolate which is a usual favourite but we had to throw it away as it was too sweet and lacked... More

This gelato is a solid 70th percentile. That's it. I have been traveling in Italy for three decades and have had the best in Florence, Rome, and elsewhere. I don't know why this gets such rave reviews except that the New York Times told tourists it was great. Honestly, it's not even the best gelato in Orta. Moreover, the two... More

I had the Kibana (kiwi and banana) and Spekuloos ice cream and I still dream about them. People visit this place!

It's not easy living up to being rated number 1, and for us, AgriGelateria fell short. The gelato was below average in our opinion. My wife had two spoonfuls, and discarded the rest.

Lots of traditional and non-traditional flavors (for example: cheesecake) in this roadside gelateria. Parking is scarce when the place is busy, but the gelato is worth the effort to make a visit.

dark chocolate ice cream to die for. This is real artisan ice cream making. The owner is very proud of his product and rightly so. What a fun and happy place! If you have one ice cream in your life, have it here.

The gelato here is well worth breaking all diets for.(and I did!) The dark chocolate was out of this world.
