Playful place

Wonderful, playful and informal place with great food and a great atmosphere. Had the mushroom risotto (of the season) and it was great.

An attempt to be. an "alternative restaurant". Larger portions than normal (presumably to meet foreign tourist needs) reasonably priced for the location. Food average to below. I was probably biased in review as I was put off by being served by a public health hazard - a grumpy waitress with influenza. The staff overall were very pleasant.

This restaurant should spend less effort trying to create a funky dining room and more effort creating good food! The food was variable in quality from mediocre to poor. And an ironing oard an iron with an ornamental chicken and three tennis balls on the top does nothing to enhance the dining experience!

Sunday night in October in this quiet town, My girlfriend and I had already had lots of free bar snacks prior to finding this place. It's large and bright but I had the steak and my girlfriend had a delicious dish of stuffed pork medallions. Great wine and good service, and hosted my the very friendly Tiziana. This is worth... From the moment you walk in this small but well located restaurant, you know that you are in for something different. The decor is eclectic with chairs, glassware, dishes etc all different patterns and colors. You can sit at a table with lit plastic figures of the Seven Dwarfs or a Donald Duck. The staff is friendly and attentive and... More

Dinner here was interesting. The restaurant has quaint “picnic” style tables and chairs, all quite a hotchpotch, some far too close together. The service was very friendly and very good. The food was average, nothing wrong with it but nothing special either. The fresh pasta was good, the steak OK. Wine relatively cheap and OK. The place was packed, people... More

we had a lovely dinner. ordered a dish not on the menu that they made for us. loved the aperitif and appetizer that they brought us "on the house"....as well as an unexpected dessert. Varied menu, well cooked and beautifully presented

To start with, you have to be ready for a place where the tables are placed at odd angles to each other and have socks on their legs. The furniture and drinking vessels are all mismatched, and the overall impression is of an obvious attempt to startle. If the rest of the package were good, that might work. Service was... More

Spicy donkey ragu, mushroom tagliatelle, and a large fillet steak (minus the mushrooms). It's an original and unexpected menu, but the food was fresh, tasty and the service was quietly excellent. The wine recommendation for a local Erbaluce was well balanced with our mushroom pasta.
