If not, one of the best. More expensive than average, but this is reflected in the varied and imaginative menu. I was part of a group of 15, mostly poets from the Festival. We were noisy, demanding and arrived at different times, and the restaurant did us proud: provided free cocktails to start, a mini-starter and little cakes at the... More

The restaurant stands apart from the typical local trattorias. At the same time it keeps the full richness and flavor of the Italian cuisine. We went at the end of September and had the oppotyunity to get some white truffles with house made papardelle. The portions are abundant and the ingredients with a very high quality. Short but well selected... More

Nice, fashionable restaurant with large open windows, you are almost seated on the (pedestrianized) main street of Orta. Ambitious cuisine, huge servings: consider to share a starter if you order a main dish afterwards, good wine list with fair mark-ups. Not really the place for a romantic candle-light dinner, yet a fine restaurant. More

We stayed for 2 nights in Orta San Giuglio and following previous recommendations in Trip Advisor, we tried the Ristoro Olina on our first day. Suffice to say, we returned on the second evening! The surroundings were clean and comfortabale, the proprietors and their staff were very friendly and clearly anxious to please, explaining various meals on the menu. The... More

Start to finish, the perfect meal. After a hard day cycling around Lago d'Orta I needed a great meal. This was it. Starts with a unique and amazing apertif. Great service and outstanding menu for a small town. The primi was perfect, secondi outstanding and finished with a great dessert...two nights in a row (had to go back) Go, enjoy... More

We were really well looked after here, as we were staying at the Aracoeli Hotel round the corner, and this restaurant and the hotel are jointly owned. The complimentary aperitifs are excellent, and my wife's Pumpkin and Amaretti biscuit ravioli were divine, memorable. We had bass and gilthead bream main courses and a dessert. The meal with wine came to... More

Was recommended this place by the Villa Crespi on the Monday night when their restaurant was closed. It was already on my shortlist based on previous tripadvisor reviews. Nice welcome aperitif, friendly service and well cooked food, good sized portions. My girlfriend loved her starter which was just thin slices of courgette with a rare aged parmesan melted on top,... We were the only people ( very early season) dining and they looked after us very well. Two sorts of fresh fish shared between us. Nice ambience. Good house wine. But we left with a sour taste having been short changed 20 euro. Hard to guage whether or not it was a genuine mistake.- More

This is a great place- food is diifferent to the standard fare encountered throughout the lake areas. They give you a wonderful aperitif on the house. The restuarant is stylish and cool. Portion sizes are large so share a starter. Staff English is pretty good and very professional. More
