Enjoyed great evening meal here. All aided by a birthday meal for a local priest - great to see people enjoying a lovely occasion for €23 a head. The food here draws on a limited menu in terms of options, but the dishes are all of top quality. If the food is good, the wine is even better. There are... More

Suggested as one of the options from Hotel Palio i was hoping for more Starter very nice and decent wine but to serve stracotto stra fatty and tough with undercooked potatoes is not wise Sweet was heavy but very tasty If i had skipped the main they would have got a 4/5 but... Waiter had no answer when i commented... More

My wife and I spent two days in Asti, while traveling thru the Piemonte district. We spent one evening in this charming resturant. The food was brilliant and the staff very friendly. I had the fried anchovies for starter; it was supreme.

We had a few glasses of wine here one afternoon, then came back for dinner. We had fried anchovies, pasta and rabbit. The food was very good. The waiter was helpful with the wine selection. I thought it was a good value.

It's a cute little place, with friendly staff. It's certainly not the best food I've eat in Italy or elsewhere but it was good. The wine selection as you would imagen is great, as it styles itself as an Enoteca con Cucina. All in all great for one night but not sure we'd head back even if in the area.

Unpretentious, lovely place with good service. I enjoyed the burrata and prosciutto, the octopus was outstanding, mussels and 'calamari' pasta was also very good. The server brought multiple options of sparkling wines to our table to taste to begin the meal, which was much appreciated. And the wine selection continued to be great throughout the evening.

After arriving in Asti from a long road trip we were looking for a lunch place to get us into the Italian mood. This nice place in a cellar setting right of the parking at Piazza Roma was simply great. Few choices of regional dishes freshly prepared and accompanied by excellent wine served by the glass is popular with locals... More

I have been on holiday in piemonte and staying in Asti found by chance pompa magna. Ate there twice and had two very different meals with accompanying great wines. The food was excellent and the service very knowledgeable. A really atmospheric setting - a really good find would recommend and certainly will be back myself! Margaret Duffy

Its a bit hard to find and even when you are there its not that obvous. The good news is that all the locals know it so you can just ask as you walk around. It is interesting as it is a wine shop/bar/restaurant. The food is excellent and service is good.
