Looking forward to coming back

Good, solid, homemade, unexpected and super yummi! This small restaurant in the heart of the city makes me want to go back to Pavia, even for the pleasure of tasting their homemade bread. Good, solid, homemade, unexpected and super yummi! This small restaurant in the heart of the city makes me want to go back to Pavia, even for the pleasure of tasting their homemade bread. I lived in Italy for 11 years, I'm 23 now...so I know Italian food very very well. This is one of the rare places where you can try real Italian food as the grandmas used to prepare. The place is small (reservation recommended) and old style, built in one of the hundreds of tower that Pavia used to have. I've... More

As I had the privilege to study in Pavia for 5 months I've had the opportunity to thoroughly experience the local cuisine. And in my humble opinion this is the best place (or one of the best places) to eat in Pavia. The homemade bread is amazing and you can taste the freshness in every dish. Make sure you book... More

I experienced this osteria at lunch time in a business context (casual). The place is nice and gies a feeling of "home", something more than lounge style restaurant. I would recommend this place for ocuple or small groups of friends. If you have a big group in the restaurant I think it is not right for the other customers (noisy)... More

We had chosen this restaurant based on tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed!!! We were a party of 7 so we decided to order all different dishes in order to taste a bit of everything... Well, let me tell u, they were all amazing!!! Especially the risotto and the veal shank. Ho, I was just about to forget about... More

While on a business trip my host insisted that I overnight in Pavia just for the privilege of eating at this restaurant. It was worth the effort in every respect. Chef Dimo and Maria, his wife, serve authentic Italian cuisine with enthusiasm. When it comes to good food and fine wine, language is no barrier. Everything was fresh and cooked... More

We stumbled into this lovely little restaurant at lunch hour by chance and what a surprise that was! The friendly staff didn't speak English and that was a very good sign. There was no fixed menu for lunch and that was another good sign - only the freshest ingredients were served! The pasta dishes that we ordered, pesto linguine and... More

We've travelled Italy a lot. It's getting harder to find the old Italy of warmth, value and amazing food. We rediscovered it here. The most extraordinary risotto we've ever eaten, served by the most delightful, and dare I say, overqualified host, Dimo, that we've met in years. Super highly recommended!

We entered by chance as it was late at night and needed something to eat and this was the only place we could find. You would hardly know it was a restaurant from the outside. No English spoken but just order anything from the menu it was all good. The service was simple and charming and the prices were very... More

I really loved this restaurant. It is in the very center of the city. The ambiance is simple and warm, a medieval tower. The food is extremely good: creative, but always using good materials from the tradition. Good choice of wines. We spent 45€ per person, that is not exactly cheap but it was commensurate to all the food and... More
