It's a chain but still good.

While our goal was to stay away from any chains, it was late and Obica was around the corner from our apartment. We had the pizza and Burrata. Pizza was very good, I forgot which one we had but it had a little kick to it. The burrata wasn't too special, pretty much the same that you'll get at... read more

After a stroll and aparitivo in the lovely Brera area, we were looking for a place to eat with good quality food and not touristy. This restaurant fitted the bill perfectly. The ambience was good; modern and stylish decor with a great music vibe. It was busy but the atmosphere was relaxed with friendly, professional staff who were very knowledgeable... More

I had a tagliatelle, some chianti and a torta caprese, not bad, the espresso at 2.5 euro made me understand how "touristic" this place is.

After a long day exploring Milan, my husband and I roamed through Brera for a restaurant and everything just seemed like the normal touristy restaurant and all I wanted was some fresh Burrata! Finally we came across Obica and I was ecstatic!! The food was fresh and delicious and hit the spot! We actually came here the next day as... More

Great mozzarella selection, excellent quality. Clean modern feel. Sub-par service with difficultly getting attention of staff.

We were attracted by the promise of fresh buffalo mozzarella cheeses, and ordered the cheese plate at (€15). There was nothing in terms of fresh mozzarella here -- but maybe we didn't read the description of this plate carefully enough. Anyway, even in its own right it was really bad. We asked whether we could exchange it for another dish,... More

Dear ChF, we are sorry that you didn't enjoy our food. In fact, if you wanted to taste fresh mozzarella, you should have taken our Gran Degustazione, with a selection of three Mozzarella (delicate, intense and smoked), ricotta cheese and stracciatella. As written in the menu, the dish you choose it's a selection of Aged Buffalo Cheese. We deeply apologize... More

Food has tasty and attractively presented, good service, nice decor, great location. The waiter gave us all free small tastes of select mozzarella. There was something for everyone, form carnivore to vegetarian. Good people watching.

We went to Obica on the recommendation of our hotel front desk staff for pizza and were very pleased with our dinner. Ultimately, the restaurant is far more than a pizza place, so we explored more of their menu. The fresh ingredients were all on display at the bar. I had a buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto calzone and my wife... More

Staying in Brera

Neighborhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
