Lousy service but good food

Food is good...but the waiters are rude !!! The location is great and the environment are adorable. Maybe I won't return next time...service is king to enchant customers .

A desillusion! Late sunday evening, but "open until 00:30. So we decided to have our late dinner here. Food was not preparered well, wine was OK. At 23:45 they started clearing the tables. We were finishing our wine. At least something to enjoy. But the (main?)waiter looked us away, so we took our wine and got up. Immedeately the table... More

Really liked this one. Sat outside on a Friday evening and drank prosecco and ate pasta and just loved being in Milano. The service was extremely friendly and very good. The food was good (wife and daughter loved the Greek salad - not sure if that's an authentic Italian dish though :s ). But the atmosphere was the best bit.

We only sat outside and had a bottle of vine. The service was very good. The waiter was very humble and respectfull and that charmed us.

Went on the recommendation of our Hotel concierge and this proved to be a good decision. We arrived without a reservation and while there were spare tables we were about to be turned away until I mentioned the Hotel name and recommendation. Although smartly dressed I suspect because we were not dressed to the Italian "smart" standard but rather too... More

We found this place in the pouring rain. It had a covered outdoor area that we found delightful. It looked so fancy, we almost did not go in, but after looking at the menu and the ambiance, we found it to be the perfect place for lunch. And the food was good, also.

We were among the first diners the evening we arrived at Ristorante Charleston, the menu looked good and they have an outdoor area that is covered, with glass panels that open and close to let in the night air or keep out the rain, both of which were needed. The staff sat us immediately, combined tables for our party of... More

Obviously beeing in Duomo area we can expect restaurant to be over priced for what you get. Terrasse was nice but the overall experience is medium. Did not especially like or dislike the food. Did enjoy or hate the wine. Did not like or dislike the service Di overall it is a just an average experience for me

Excellent ristorante just round the corner from The Duomo. Usually crowded but the staff always finds a chair or two somehow. Ate there twice during our 3 day stay in Milan. The food was excellent, tasty, real Italian treat. Even in busy times we did not wait for long. For the central location the price was appropriate, definitely recommended.

sorry, this restaurant does not represent the good italian food and service. The waiters know you are a tourist, and they don't care what you say or do. They just give you food and that's it. The food is overpriced and not really good. Avoid this place, there are many other good restaurants!

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
