Classic restaurant in brera. Good food, not too expensive compared to other options in the area. Very busy, nice environment

The place is nice and cozy, lots of tables and full of people. The ambience reminds a French bistrot. There is a traditional milanese menu and overall Italian cuisine. It is not cheap and not extremely expensive either (one meal, half dessert, a bottle of wine for 4 people came to 42eur each). But in my view it is a... More

I' ve been at la Libera with a friend for a Saturday evening dinner. The venue is the "old milanese trattoria" stlyle, service was good (a little bit of pressure to be quick in ordering). I had stuffed and fried courgette flowers (very tasty), pasta with shrimps (pretty poor portion, a little bit undercooked the pasta) and a dessert (slice... More

Saturday nights are quite busy nights in Milano and restaurants like this are not able to cope with a full house. Therefore orders get mixed and people get the wrong plates. Apart for this, the quality of food is actually decent and the portions are OK. It is essential to reserve.

A Cozy and warm neighborhood place that seems to be filled with locals (non-tourists). The food definitely held up to the moderate price-point. The highlight was the Veal Tagliateli pasta which was shared.

A group of ten of us had a perfectly good meal and then asked for the bill to be split in two. The bill arrived - lo and behold - the total was a round Euro 500! Exactly Euro 50 per person despite a wide selection of starters, main courses and drinks having been consumed. We asked the manager to... More

Lovely dinner with friends, and enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the food. Ordered a few starters to share, primi/secondi as main course and lovely lemon sorbet for desert, no complaints on any! Waiters were polite and friendly too! Reservation is probably a must, as we had booked a table and the restaurant was full on arrival!
