Well in this place you go for either costata fiorentina or tagliata di manzo. The first is themTuscany version of a t-bone steak. The original uses Chianina beef. The tagliata is tinly sliced grilled beef with rocket salad or porcini mushrooms. Both dishes is their specialty and they really know how to grill it. As side dishes you might want... More

We were looking to conclude our trip to Milano with a great bistecca. Found La Cantinetta here on Trip Advisor. Called for a reservation and it was a good thing. The place was packed at 9:30pm. We started with a small antipasto of grilled vegetables. Onions, zucchini, and peppers- what a nice start. We followed with homemade papardelle with pesto... More

food was defienntly the closest you will come to home cooked, in Milano. Meatballs were amazing, my wife had the scallopine, which were also amazing!! 5 stars for the food, and service. The restaurant looked like a nonnas house which made the experience even better. for bocconcino with tomatoes, meatballs, bistecca fiorentina, scallopine, fruit salad, bottle of wine and water... I have been to this restaurant several times, last time a couple of weeks ago. They have in my opinion the best "tagliata" in Milano, unlike most other places this is not simply a sliced roasted beef but more exactly a sliced Fiorentina (T-Bone steak); besides this the selection of dishes on the menu is at very good level and... Focussed on grilled beef steak - "tagliata" first and foremost: plain, with rucola or with mushrooms. Your choice of appetizers as our (grand)parents (used to) eat, selected pasta and steaks, and home made desserts round up the menu. Mostly Tuscan, with some Southern Italy complements. Delivered by the same management and team for all those years Well, true, some did... More

A very nice and simple place, nothing fancy or design but the food especially their selectionof meat will make you very happy!!! The relation quality price is very good, and the service is good. Maybe only thing to avoid is their "vino della casa"; better to order a bottle.
