We are from Sydney Australia, and whilst in Milan , we wanted to have some Indian food as we were looking for some variety from Italian food we have been having for weeks. So after research our google map directed us to this restaurant which we walked for a while to get to and as soon as we walked in,... More

We had dinner at Sarla while in Milan. To start with, service was a little slow - or there was some mix up with our order. But the food was simply delicious and made it worth the wait. We had ordered simple meal - butter chicken, Saag and Daal Tadka with a basket of bread. There was more than enough... More

We went for a Dinner for two. The food was average. Ordered - A bottle of water (750 ml), 5 Garlic Nan (Bread); Paneer Makkhanwala ( Cottage Cheese cubes in gravy) , Lentil soup/ Dal and a grilled dish- Overall damage -60 Euros !! The nan (bread) seemed not to be properly done. One set was completely fried and the... More

We had dinner on the last night of our long trip to Italy. I wish we had discovered this place earlier. Authentic Indian food and tastes just like home food. The service was excellent. The owner was very chatty and friendly. I would close my eyes and go again.....do remember to use google map as it can be a little... More

We went to the restaurant thinking of getting Indian hospitality but were grossly cheated. Were given water in open bottles so we presumed it was tap water and charged us 9 euros for the same. Not only that we were also charged another 7 euros for the papad which we thought was complimentary since we did not ask for it.... More

In India, where you come from, the standard practise is... More

Excellent food with authentic indian spices and flavours. Very large tables and chairs. This is real slow food and you see through the kitchen. Service is a little slow but well worth waiting for the food because it is fresh and made on the spot. The restaurant is in the heart of Milan and is very big. When we went... More

Lovely food and great service. During the optical trade fair we tried several indian restaurants but found Sarla to be the best and most central. Prices are very reasonable and has varieties of dishes to select from. We will go again.

We had two meals here - one dinner and one lunch on consecutive days in January 2014. Restaurant Sarla is a purely Indian restaurant on Via Stampa about half a km from the Milan Duomo. The best way to get here is to get on Via Torino from the Duomo and after about half a km take a left and... More
