This is my favourite restaurant in Milan with the most amazing seafood! Everything is always fresh, the quality is amazing and the cooking refined. What I always order is; mixed fried seafood, grilled scallops on the shell, grilled squid, grilled red prawns with a touch of chilli, squid ink risotto....their fish looks amazing but I never have enough room for... I've been eating fresh fish at this restaurant for over 20 years and I still believe it's the best in Milan. The fish is super fresh and prepared in a simple and yet so tasty way. Bavette with scampi and fritto mid to are a must! And the bill is always more than fair for the quality of the food... More

Purely perfect Italian seafood restaurant ! Even at the front of the restaurant you can smell a nice scent of seafood offered there. Take a long trip through menu you will not regret any of your choice. I would like to highlight a plate of raw sea food ( fresh and delicious ), St. Jacobs, grilled seafood and finally an... More

I had a booking at al Porto 34 years ago but at the last moment I was unable to take up my reservation. So many years later I have the opportunity to return, and it was worth the wait. The restaurant is traditional and focussed on high quality service and excellent fish. The reception was good with the offer of... More

I didn't have access to a phone so I emailed for a reservation. I didn't get a response until two days later. At that time I was traveling and couldn't see my emails. By the time I was able to see my email the restaurant decided on their own that they would cancel my reservation. When we called to ask... More

This restaurant was so good that I went there twice over 3 days. The wait staff and maitre d's were excellent. First late lunch I enjoyed lightly fried shrimp and baby calamari. Totally excellent. I also had a half order of the specialty pasta of the day which was a light red sauce with fresh fish and capers. Really good.... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
