3rd visit in 10 years, this restaurant is perhaps expensive by Italian standards but then it is the best fish restaurant I have experienced in Milan. One of my children's birthday, the fish is FRESH no frozen, the waiters are kind and smiley with kids, you can order wine by the glass and most customers are boomerang customers. The fish... More

I have had the pleasure of dining in this restaurant for over 20 years and if you like fresh seafood and Italian cuisine you will never be disappointed here. Only the best! This is a classic in Milan and the family runs it with perfection. I look forward to my visits to Milan and especially in dining at Al Porto.... More

This place never fails to impress for quality of food and excellent service. Highly recommended. Prices on a par or even more reasonable (see good affordable wines) with trendier Milanese fish places.

For me, this is the best food in the world. The Antipasto Caldo Misto is one of the dishes I dream about. The decor is wonderfully unchanged Italian and I fervently hope it stays that way. Compared to other fish restaurants in Milan, and also in London it isn't hugely expensive. On some visits I have been totally surrounded by... More

It seems this restaurant has attracted local clientele for over 100 years and at their prices that speaks volumes. Although you will pay a bit more here, you will get service and quality like no other!! We arrived too early but were still let in. The staff were eating and discussing the menu for the night. We were offered a... More

A nice, bustling, traditional restaurant, 15 minutes walk from the Duomo. Very good fish and seafood (bass being the highlight). It's not cheap, but neither is it out of line with other restaurants serving food of this quality, and there are none of the snobbish trappings you get at some of the more pricey places (a reverent hush, formally dressed... If you want to try a seafood you can visit this place, the food is ok, but nothing special- in Milan you can find better places. You should book the table in advance! And the best places are on the terrace!

If you can afford the price (70euros per person)and if you like fish, don't miss the experience. Your "palate" will have one of the most interesting experiences ever. Bravo Paolo!!!

On our second day in Milan (and our second day in Italy), we went for a long walk along the main canal in the Navigli to the San Cristoforo church (a very ordinary walk, not to be recommended) and then wandered across town and along Via Savona to find the Piazzale Generale Cantore. It took us a while to find... More
