We were told about this restaurant from the hotel staff. It was located just down the street from the Grand Hotel et de Milan and not too far from the La Scala Theatre. Peaceful outdoor setting on Via Manzoni. Given that this is in the luxury boutique area, the pricing was about what we expected. The clientele appeared to be roughly half local, half tourist on the July weekday when we went. The menu offered slections of original / creative dishes as well as traditional regional dishes. I ordered the ossobuco which turned... More

The risotto and the chicken dish was okay and so was desserts. Nothing special and a bit tasteless. The so called "Gourmet" burger was really poor. I would have McDonalds any day compared to this. Unfortunately it was just a really poor bun of bread and tasteless chevy meat. No real filling. Looked forward to the honey glaced onions but... More

I'd like to thank Mr. Ad69dk for giving me the opportunity to remark that McDonald's burger, that by the way I like, have nothing in common with our Gourmet Burger. If Mr. Ad69dk will take time, I would be very happy to show him where we source the meat and the quality of each component we use. Not to mention... More

Stopped at the restaurant while shopping via manzoni without reading any review. Restaurant was pretty pricey for Milan and food was average. However, the terrace outside is nice and very calm. The restaurant room looked old and unfriendly. Plus the kitchen was upstair and was very noisy

Went here on hotel recommendation on our first night. Very pleasant atmosphere sitting outside under large awning near the fashion district of Milan. Service good but food very bland but quite expensive. Wouldn't head back here.

No way, it's my favorite restaurant in the city. I went twice and was magic. Classy and luxury. Top location, nice service, great dishes. Love it.

Was in Milan for 7 days and found a few restaurants I really liked, and this was definitely one of them. They have some tourist traffic because of their central location but their dishes aren't tourist. I went back a few more times before I left, and the food was consistent. You'll spend a bit more for food than some... More

Long standing Milan restaurant where I first learned about Barolo 10-15 years ago. This time around the wine list is just as impressive although, unfortunately, prices have risen with the times. 1993 Barolo Bricco Rocche needed decanter time. The shrimp ceviche with avocado is delicious. The steak tartare lacked presentation but was delicious. Clientele an equal mix of foreigners and... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. When we arrived, the glare from the waiter left us wondering what offence we may have caused. After seating and ordering water and bread, we found the service beyond bad - it was actually hostile. Needless to say, we can't comment on the food as we got up and left the staff to... More

We proudly cooperate with all the 5 stars hotel in Milano. If our service would be as Mr. Roger is writing, we would be bankrupted. Most probably Mr. Roger should sedriously take into consideration his attitude. About TripAdvisor....myself and many collegues of mine are doubting about seriousness of comments that are threatening restaurant credibility. Comments based on anger and not... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
