Found a decent priced beer near Duomo

Yeah, it's expensive near the Duomo so we walked and walked and found a nice place that was about a Euro or more cheaper across the board. And the happy hour gives you a drink plus bruschetta for 5 euro. But, we got beer and, here is what I like, they served in a real beer glass!! If you are... read more

To summarize my feelings about this restaurant, just read all of the other excellent/very good reviews already shown. It is good, prices are VERY reasonable, it is conveniently located near the Duomo. Definitely worth a visit - lots of tables outside (under cover), just a few inside & downstairs. This place is basically set up for early-late lunches. We stopped... More

Joey Tribbiani (from Friends) would see it as his sandwich Disneyland. I was a frequent visitor to the place while on a semester exchange at Bocconi. I came across it by pure accident, and it was the best accident I ever had:) The variety is amazing, sandwiches are fresh and delicious. The service was always nice and warm. Thankfully, there's... My title says it all. It was delicious, it was inexpensive and it was so quick. Great spot if you're in the area and just want a quick bite

We visited Milan on Easter weekend. Needless to say, the area around the Duomo was very busy. GB Bar is tucked away on a side street just a block off the main area. I wanted to order something I saw at another table, and the waiter called it "fantasy" because it was not on the menu (A special order I... More

Since the Duomo area is packed with tourists, finding a decent place to eat is not an easy task. We went there because of the reviews. It has earned it's reputation because of the good location, a very good and attentive service of one of the waiters who speaks fluent English and truly eager to help (thanks for the patience!).... Good prices, nice coffee, aperitivo and sweets. Friendly waiter. Typical Italian cafeteria! Not to be missed.

Probably the best service I've had in Milan. Sat outside underneath the heaters. Was warm even in 3c weather. We chose 3 different sandwiches. Mozzarella, chicken, and bresaola. All were tasty with fresh bread and very filling. Only really needed 1 each. But we're on a try as much as you can mission. Recommended

Had to find a place sharpish near the Duomo to meet the wife and a Tripadvisor suggestion threw out this place, which turned out to be perfect. Great array of sandwiches and happy to make one up to suit your taste. The Traminer wine wasn't exactly top-notch but after a hard morning's shopping, who cares. Best of all, really cordial... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
