Delightful

He staff are always so kind and welcoming and soooo patient. The most velvety and buttery spicy tuna and rainbow rolls, and utterly delicious green tea tiramisu. The perfect sushi dinner.

A great little restaurant which I have now visited twice for Lunch, the first time with my 5 year old Sushi loving daughter, the second for my Birthday with my Wife. The Staff are very friendly and welcoming, (they recognised me on my second visit which is always a good sign). The Set Menus are excellent value and the Sushi/Sashimi... More

A small, very busy place with an authentic Jap Sushi Master - visited at lunch - for €25- you can have a great meal. The quality level of the food is excellent and service relatively fast. It has two locations in Milan. Good for business at lunchtime, great for couples for dinner.

Some months ago I stopped at Basara for lunch. I had a delicious lunch set while sitting in front of the chef and co-owner Hiro, who prepared the dished with the attention to details and the aim to perfection that only Japanese people can put in what they do. Then I decided to go for dinner and I first went... More

Here the waiter are worst then any other place. They are just not professional, food is bad. It is not clean and is not good. Noisy and crowded.

Stopped by for a business lunch with an American colleague and we were both impressed by the flavor, simpleness and color of our sushi! A must try if you are in the neighborhood

We based our choice on Trip advisor and once more it didn't fail. The quality of the food is really good and the presentation of the dishes is various and attractive. We took the ricciola carpaccio and it was amazing. Very good also the seared mixed carpaccio. We tried a couple of rolls and were very tasty. The warm dish... More

Small place, small and not so comfortable tables, some of which squeezed against the wall. Poor quality food. Nicely presented, but not so good as the reviews hint. A few examples from last night dinner: sushi rice was too sticky, flambe carpaccio was swimming in an oily sauce, bigne starters had a really weird and debatable combination of tastes, chocolate... My wife an I had an excellent meal at Basara tonight, in fact it was amazing. We sat at the Sushi Bar and watched the chefs create exceptionally high quality dishes of many varieties, all gorgeous to look at. We had a Sashimi sampler (chefs choice), the spicy salmon tartare and the lobster avocado roll. All of them were outstanding.... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
