Very good pizza just had the wrong kind.

The food here is very exceptional, the only reason it's getting a very good is that I liked my food, not loved. My mom got the pizza margarita and it was phenomenal, but I got the house specialty pizza and although it was good the only off putting thing was the paste they put on it. It tasted good... read more

The wait service was polite but not overly attentive, the location and decor is very good, but most importantly the food is pretty good if somewhat overpriced (see: location) I had the "Crudo di Parma e bufala" which is the best type of "ham pizza" imaginable. It has 24 moth dry-cured Parma ham along with proper buffalo cheese. A little... More

This is not a restaurant that justifies a trip to Milano, but if you are in the historic center late at night (i.e. after a performance at La Scala) it's a great option. I've dined there quite a few times and both food and service were very good.

We went to Gatto Rosso for lunch. Slim - white short italian waiter was incredibly rude. He came to our table first and we asked him that "could you help us to seperate pork included meals from others" then he said "only two of pasta includes pork". Because of his accent i wanted to be sure and said ok these... More

This is an amazing, must eat restaurant if you're looking for a classy, well-prepared meal! My wife and I were enamored with our meals overall. We ordered the black truffle spaghetti special (tagliolini tartufo), caprese salad, ravioli with artichokes (ravioli carciofi) and flattened steak with garlic and pepper (battuta catanese). All dishes were absolutely mouth watering and delicious with maybe... More

We went to this restaurant on our first night in Milan and spent €75 for dinner for two. The food is exceptionally good. It is slightly expensive by most standards but not too bad for Milan. If we have reviewed this restaurant after the first night, it would have been 5 starts. However, the first night we were there we... More

Veal osobuco was served room temperature and very fatty. Service was mediocre at best. Nice atmosphere but not worth the price.

Risotto with shrimp & lemon thyme is creamy as it should be, just perfect!!! Ravioli filled with artichoke together with tomato sauce is also a good choice!!! Most importantly, the atmosphere & professional service makes it unforgettable :)

Located right in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and near Duomo, yet the prices were not too high. The food was excellent and the waiters very nice and helpful. Fun watching people in the 'mall'. Eggplant appetizer done just right. Osso bucco perfect also, with a nice tomato sauce. It comes with risotto Milanese so you get to try both... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
