Pleasant modern restaurants along the Navigli

I recommend a double portion of raw ham to start with. It is cut by hand, like the best jamon iberico, and it comes from a rare breed of pig (Mora di Romagna), it is intense and very tasty. First courses offer a variety of pasta from spaghetti with bottarga, to maltagliati pasta square with... read more

We are not locals however we found this restaurant through blog reviews. But, after we ordered the six course meal where the chef chooses the dishes they catered both to my vegetarian tastes as well as my boyfriend's omnivore ones. The quality of the food (with the exception of the frog legs, only cause it was weird) was amazing! It... More

We had the full six-courses "surprise" menu, meaning you are told about each course as it is served. The menu can be adjusted for special dietary preferences, it will remain a surprise as you will still discover courses as they arrive. Each dish is different from the many in the menu. Each dish was very carefully prepared, and served. I struggle... More

What is amazing of this restaurant is the location. Cozy and a bit outside of the city's confusion. Food is sophisticated but nothing exceptional. Exceptional was the long wait between courses. After 2 hours we only had starters. When pointed out to the waiter, we were treated as we were asking them to rush. Unacceptable.

What a wonderful place for dinner. Met the husband and Wife Chef team. It is labor of love and it shows. They get it and the food is to die for! Lovely atmosphere and while a bit away from the downtown Milan - worth the taxi trip for a memorable evening at their establishment. Have the Chef's selection and let... More

All I can say about this restaurant is it deserves a Michelin star. The chef is really creative and despite the limited menu, I've never found myself disappointed, from the starters to the desserts. The location is lovely, in every time of the year. An oasis right outside of the city.

First of all, I really like this restaurant; location is great, just a step outside the city, cosy with a beautiful garden. The food is very tasty too and a bit different than what you can find in any other restaurant. Menu has few choices (which I think is a good sign), good wine list and helpful staff. Having said... Along one of the suburban canals, a few miles out of town, you can find this "Erba brusca", the name of a herb. A simple place, with friendly service and good food and wine, and a very pleasant pergola at the back; but you'll remember it for the live music they offer every evening. We had country, and it was... More

I had dinner here recently with a group of 6. We sat on the patio with a nice view of the creek. Our dinner was fabulous! Most of us chose the 4 course tasting, but two members of our group were vegetarian so they chose to order off of the menu, none of our plates were disappointing. The dishes were... More

We stopped by this restaurant on our 25KM bike ride from Milan to the beautiful monistary of Certosa di Pavia south of milan. The restaurant was one of the few left going out of Milan so we decided for a lunch. The restaurant did not look too inviting from the outside with many closed blinds, but once inside, we were...
