Probably more the restaurant for wining and dining corporate customers than taking the family out for dinner. Still, couldn't fault the food nor the service. Very reasonably priced wine list, with ample opportunity to splurge if the mood takes you.

We has lunch there with friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were lucky enough to be seated with views of the Duomo, our friends had booked in advance, so we benefited from the views. We ordered a starter and then a range of entrees and mains to share amongst all. The staff thoughtfully divided up the mixed anti pasti for... More

I lunched with a friend yesterday at this restaurant and was amazed to read the adverse comments made by other customers. I must say that the whole experience was fantastic, from making the reservation, to being received by the staff, to the food. The service was amazing - our two waiters couldn't have been more friendly, happy and attentive. Despite... More

We visited on a whim with our three kids, having seen the restaurant from the Piazza below. Dinner was on the pricier side and the staff at first wasn't too sure about seating us (kids? English? Or simply still in sightseeing gear?) but after all we received a superb three course meal of interesting dishes and very attentive service. Would... More

We had lunch here recently. I feel others are being too picky. Not everyone can have the best seats - but there are plenty to be had. Not everyone can guarantee that what they choose from a menu is exactly what they expect. We got better food than we expected from the daily lunch, with portions that might be called... More

Yes, the restaurant is next to the Duomo and hence the view is good. But everything was overshadowed by the quality of the food. My wife ordered a spaghetti. When the spaghetti arrived, it was so hard and undercooked that we asked a waiter to take it back. The waiter explained that this was the Italian way of cooking and... More

We had a romantic dinner here one evening in early summer. Although we arrived quite early and had booked weeks in advance, we weren't allowed to sit on one of the best tables near the windows - slightly annoying but presumably they were holding them for locals or regular customers. Or perhaps they didn't like the look of my trainers!... More

Visiting Milan should always include a visit to Giacomo Argengario. The food is very good, with very pleasing specials. The location is absolutely top notch -- breathtaking views of Duomo with open windows onto the plaza. The energy is frenetic.

This was very disappointing. I was told of the restaurant by a local stranger who meant well. The atmosphere was fine. The lounge by the lift was prettier than the restaurant however. The food was not very good. It wasn't horrible, but with their prices one expects much tastier food.

The key selling point of this restaurant is the great view that one gets of plaza duomo. The food here is not too bad and the service is very good. I came here for lunch and my experience was more than pleasing. The pasta dishes are a little of the small side so you could if you are hungry have... More
