If you just accept that you're in a tourist area and what that means, this is a very nice option. The setting is lovely and we found it to be a bit classier than the myriad other choices around the canal. Sure, you might find some more genuine Italian restaurants and cheaper prices away from the canal, but the service... More

I was in a party of 10 work colleagues in search of a canal-side restaurant when we stumbled across Bellariva. It was a good discovery and not yet too busy. A careful rearrangement of the outside tables provided us with a great setting to watch the sunset, enjoy some very good Italian dishes from a good menu and the wine... More

We ate at lunchtime and had the menu of the day for 15 euros. This included water, bread and cover. The starter was amazing, beautiful but simple well cooked tasty spaghetti with tomatoes and basil. The secondi was chicken Milanese (chicken in breadcrumbs), this was clearly fresh and well made but it was served on its own and was very... More

Overpriced dishes. Lack of taste. Ok+ waiter. Good house wine. The best way to describe Bellariva; Boring. For an italien experience, go elsewhere.

We just had our last meal in Milan and chose BellaRiva for its feel. The owner? Manager? Suggested a beautiful Rose that went perfectly with the Veal. My husbands Ravioli Eggplant was delicate and service was terrific. Great position, terrific wine list. Well worth it.

Along the Naviglio Grande, on an pleasant autumn evening, this Café seemed quite welcoming and unassuming, among a dozen of others lining up the canal. We shouldn’t have entered...Evertyhing was mediocre, i.e. neither bad, nor good. Servers looked awfully bored and I do not even remember the details of the meals.... But, to be honest, they had one of the... More

Had the osso bucco, which was the most expensive plate on the menu, and it was horrible. I would literally give the plate a 0 out of 10. Wine was bad too. Only thing that was good was the water, and the service. Very friendly. Would not recommend, obviously.

Located on the Naviglio channel a little outside the city center by bus, we found the restaurant by taking a city tour on the "get on, get off bus" taken from the shopping district. We found the food very tasty, nice selection of menu items, wine by the glass was only 3 euros, had salad, main course and wine for... More

22 Euro for a plate osobouko (something like osobouko) And 12 Euro For a small starter I think it's expensive for too low quality.
