Great food!

The food is great here! The service is also good and the staff speaks English. It's a relaxing place where you can sit for hours. Great place to spend the evening! I would recommend it!

Very nice place. We tasted some of the dishes and all was very tasty. The restaurant is located near to the Navigli canal. This is a good place for a walk and relax. The staff was very kind. The view from the restaurat is great. We tasted: Argentine steak with roasted vegetables, tagliatelle and veal with yellow rice. Everything was... More

We passed this restaurant en decided to sit here for diner. The price of the food was okay. It is a touristic place but just good food for a good price.

Great restaurant with great food! We had the typical zafferano risotto and spaghetti al pomodoro. Two very easy main courses but extremly tasty and cooked with amazing fresh ingredients. We had a small table outside in a beautiful sunny day - perfect place if you want to eat Italian food!

If you just accept that you're in a tourist area and what that means, this is a very nice option. The setting is lovely and we found it to be a bit classier than the myriad other choices around the canal. Sure, you might find some more genuine Italian restaurants and cheaper prices away from the canal, but the service... More

I was in a party of 10 work colleagues in search of a canal-side restaurant when we stumbled across Bellariva. It was a good discovery and not yet too busy. A careful rearrangement of the outside tables provided us with a great setting to watch the sunset, enjoy some very good Italian dishes from a good menu and the wine... More

We ate at lunchtime and had the menu of the day for 15 euros. This included water, bread and cover. The starter was amazing, beautiful but simple well cooked tasty spaghetti with tomatoes and basil. The secondi was chicken Milanese (chicken in breadcrumbs), this was clearly fresh and well made but it was served on its own and was very... More

Overpriced dishes. Lack of taste. Ok+ waiter. Good house wine. The best way to describe Bellariva; Boring. For an italien experience, go elsewhere.

We just had our last meal in Milan and chose BellaRiva for its feel. The owner? Manager? Suggested a beautiful Rose that went perfectly with the Veal. My husbands Ravioli Eggplant was delicate and service was terrific. Great position, terrific wine list. Well worth it.

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
