Not as good as the reviews promise. We had overcooked gnochi and a waiter trying to break the world trhoughput record. Food too fast and we felt pressed to leave asap. Portions small. Average

This restaurant has a large menu and great quality food. The service is friendly and the waiters do not hesitate to suggest the best dishes. When my guest could not decide which pasta to order and settled on one, we were surprised with a dish that included both (half and half) - just a nice warm special treatment. If you... More

We were there with a group of 10 people, and we enjoyed the traditional local food and the service. The restaurant is recommended to try specialities from the region cooked in a traditional and honest way. It is like going back in time of some decades - definitely a must to appreciate and understand Milan.

Visited Da Bruno with a group of 8. Food was good to very good. We had several appetizers, firsts and seconds. With wine and dessert, it was about €55 per person. Service was friendly, menus were in English and Italian. The cotoletta milanese "elephant ear" was huge and was very good. Everyone enjoyed the dinner. Recommended if you're on foot... More

This is an excellent, elegant restaurant downtown just south of the Duomo. We liked the osso buco, and the house red wine was one of the best we had on our three-week trip in northern Italy. I had the antipasti buffet for 10 Euro, including proscuitto ham mounted on a stand to be thinly sliced. Since this is mentioned in... More

We have spent two days in Milano, and both days we visited Da Bruno. First, for dinner with a party of six including my three years old great grand son, and second time just the two of us for lunch. Excellent food, the lovely older waiter who looked after us demonstrated what professional waitering can be. He made all of... More

Stopped here for dinner our last night in Milan. Granted it is centrally located right next to Duomo, but I'd say go somewhere else - the quality of food is not worth the stop. The interior is very kitschy with signed pictures of celebrities plastered on the walls. We started with the assorted charcuterie plate, which was fine. I ordered... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
