We attended a wedding at Lake Como and recommended to the Giacomo by our Italian driver. You will need to get a taxi as it's a little tucked away and hard to find but absolutely worth it. Wonderful food ,service and surroundings and worth every penny. Lots of Italians eat there and it Is very buzzy and cosmopolitan. Try the... More

Great Milanese food in a Quasi-Parisienne setting. Although it's a bit tricky to get to from the centre of Milan, it's worth the effort for the interior alone. Classy, quiet and just a little different, the restaurant feels old world without being too stuffy. Interesting takes on classic dishes and a reasonable wine selection at typical Milan prices. Our Sunday... More

I have been in this restaurant in March 2013, the ambient is old ( years 30) and remembers a bistrot of parigi, negative notes, the place is small indeed, confusion, very tall voices, a lot of attended to the cafe, kitchen, wine list with the usual wine cellars (famous tuscany wines, champagne , personal positive note very nice, the good... the 30's environment makes it a warm and lovely place where to spend a night. For couple mostly. We had an Americano to begin at the bar, waiting for the table and it was really good. Then I loved my pistachio lamb and the menu proposals. Original new combination of traditional recipes. I didn't really liked the rush of the... More

My hotel concierge made a mistake in booking Da Giacomo (#4). We showed up at Bistrot di Giacomo (#6) but the Captain was kind enough to offer us a table, as long as we finish by 9 pm. My wife had fish and I had veal. Both were outstanding. The house wine recommended by the waiter was excellent. The desert,... More

The restaurant is for beef passionated. The "chateaubriant" is what I had. That roast beef was simply amazing. You might end up with a 60/70 euro bill per person but it's worth it. The interiors are nice too. Old mirrors cover the walls.

Ate here two nights ago. We have dined at Di Giacomo several times.....always good. We wanted to try this, based on other reviews. My wife had the Veal Chop. It was dry, tasteless and overpriced. I ate the ravioli, which was great but expensive for what you got. The atmosphere and service was great, but there are too many other... More
