The restaurant pretends to be luxurious, it’s just gloomy. Poor food service as per a low cost pub. I will not be back

Me and my partner stayed in Milan for three days. This bistro was BY FAR the best restaurant during our stay. We showed up at a restaurant without a reservation thinking that is may not be too crowded on Sunday night. We were wrong... Thankfully we showed up early in the night and that they could let us sit at... More

we booked a table with view on the Duomo , and this is also why you go to this restaurant ... confirmed it twice in the days before and when we arrived an extremly arrogant maitre de service tried to put us as far away from the windows as only possible,... we finally managed to get the table originally reserved...... When Madonna comes in town to visit Domenico and Stefano -Dolce & Gabbana- she loves to dine here. A stylished restaurant with a Parisian/NewYorker's feeling where to sip Champagne in iced chalices and get fresh huitres from Normandy, or other food delicacies, surrounded by sleek fashion Milanese scene. Deserts are a top treat!

There are two restaurants of the same owner at same street next door both named Giacomo (Giacomo Milano and Bistrot di Giacomo) I tried both and I do not know which one is better. I had beautiful antipasto, a wonderful tortelini al tartufo bianco (pasta with whithe truffles) and a delicious ossoboco con risotto milanese. I will cone back soon.... More

Dinner on Saturday night in any city is always a risk! Milan is all we like and dislike about Italy only exaggerated, after 3 days being holed up teaching at the Italian University of Switzerland in Lugano which is one of the dullest places I have been to a half a day in Milan was my reward. A couple of... More

Giacomo Bistrot is really a connoisseur place, tucked in a side street near Via Archimede. Cozy, friendly but with a keen eye for habitués, it is a very elegant spot and its restaurant is surrounded by bookshelves, shades of The Library in London, The Lanesborough's famed bar near Wellington Place. The Martini is very good, the cutlet excellent and it... More

We attended a wedding at Lake Como and recommended to the Giacomo by our Italian driver. You will need to get a taxi as it's a little tucked away and hard to find but absolutely worth it. Wonderful food ,service and surroundings and worth every penny. Lots of Italians eat there and it Is very buzzy and cosmopolitan. Try the... More
