Tasty food in a local setting

Always reliable and very consistent. Great food, great ambiance in the heart of the Brera District. Comfort food in a relaxed atmosphere.

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel staff. Very nice local restaurant. It is not as touristy as places around Duomo; still in a walking distance from the main attractions. Many local customers, Food was great. Note, that the restaurant is closed between 3 and 7 pm as the majority of places in Milan (except very touristy areas). This time... More

There are restaurants where, at the moment of entering, one senses that the ambiance, cuisine and service will be simply good. Convivium, located at the Via Ponte Vetero and offering a view of the Church of Sante Maria del Carmine is one of them. It offers a great menu with many appealing dishes, among several with fresh seafood. We were... More

We ate at Convivium on our first night in Milan on the recommendation of our host. It's a nice room but the food is only decent by Milan standards. Good service, but overpriced for what you get. Would've much preferred a local trattoria.

Amazing location. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Service although a bit rushed, is also very good. Highly recommended! Try the raw beef with mushrooms; its awesome!

Staying in Brera

Neighborhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
