Great find along the Canal!

My sister and I stopped by here for dinner on our last night in Milan. We both had a calzone, one with pancetta and eggplant and the other with broccoli and sausage. They were both amazing! The broccoli one reminded me of the calzone my Nonna used to make. This place is nothing fancy, just a good... read more

After reading several amazing reviews we decided to give this place a try. There was a half hour wait, but we were happy to go next door for a drink while we waited. When we returned we were seated promptly. When the pizza arrived there was quite a lot of sauce, leaving the base quite soggy and not able to... More

Wandered in late on a Friday night and it was amazing. Very authentic feel and fantastic pizza's. I tried to eat as much as I could and wish I could take the leftovers home. Great value for money.

This is a solid pizza outfit and I would say one of the better we found in this area. They are fast, friendly and really throw down some really good Za.

The traditional Italian pizza is here. The place is simple, near the canal, the stuff speaks English and helpful. You must also order pasta and a good wine.

Saturday night, the place was packed outside, inside, everywhere, just book before you go. the navigli area is fantastic especially with that good weather. the place was buzzing full of young people. if you can sit outside and enjoy people passing by. Ah, the pizza was so good, crunchy outside, chewy inside, choose a simple one mozzarella di buffala with basilico.

Pizzeria Tradizionale might look like a tourist trap, located at the best spot possible in Naviglio Grande - and I went because I was famished and didn't want to walk anymore - but it's one of the most pleasant experiences I've had in my trip Italy. Quite a lot of Italians have lunch at this place, which I suppose is... More

Service was initially a little slow as the restaurant was very busy, but we soon ordered and were given our ridiculously cheap litre of wine! Pizza was delicious- you can taste the fresh ingredients. Great pizzeria if you are in the Navigli area!

Lovely setting beside the canal and clearly a popular choice, although we had no problem finding a table for lunch. The seafood salad we had for starters was delicious, a generous plateful of mussels, clams, baby octopus, shrimps and squid, all for 9 euros. Then the pizzas which followed were by far the best we had the whole time we... More

Staff very friendly, pizzas are really good, you can taste their fresh and good quality ingredients. We loved the fact that there were a lot of Italians, that's always a good sign right? 😊

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
