Among locals there is apparently a big debate as to who has the best gelato. Is it Grom or Gelateria Marghera? Our hostess at our B&B said it was Gelateria Marghera (she was very sure of it), but I have to disagree. I tried them both (for scientific reasons), and it's Grom for me. Grom's dark chocolate gelato is a... More

We've had gelato every night for the past 10 nights, and this was hands down the best. Clearly others agree as there were lines out the door, but well worth he wait. The on,y complaint was the lack of strawberry or banana favors for my daughter, the flavor choices suited the rest of us perfectly!

Grom make fresh ice with great flavours. We visited on a very hot June day, and had to go back the next day, as it was so good. The coffee is not coffee flavour, it is real coffee and cream. The fruit ones very refreshing and the pistacchio was lovely. Well worth the queue, and the family atmosphere.

This location is really close to the Teatro alla Scala. Grom prides itself of producing a very high quality gelato and sorbet because it sources the ingredients from producers that pledge to use only natural techniques to curb pests and no chemicals so that their products are truly organic. The three flavors gelato cup with fior di latte, caramel and... More

Out of all the chocolate gelato I had while in Italy (which was A LOT), Grom's dark chocolate was by far the best. If you're a chocolate lover, you HAVE to come here if you're in Milan.

Is it a little overestimated, little overpriced industrial (although made with organic ingredients) ice-cream factory? They have several shops in Italy. Try the seasonal flavors made with seasonal fruits.

I've been to Rome & Venezia before and when I got to Milan one of the first things I tried was the gelatto. It was a let down and I was left thinking that maybe the super ice creams I had in Italy previously were a figment of my imagination. Then I discovered Grom. OMG! This (and the ones following)... Having tried Gelateria Marghera on several occasions I decided to try Grom having been told it was worth a visit. It didn't disappoint. Bought 2 cones for myself and a friend. The quality is excellent and personally I think it edges Gelateria Marghera. The service was not at the same level unfortunately; the girl serving me was quite brusque. There... More

Stopped by while having a wander around a rather rainy Milan. I went for a combination of hazelnut and the Crema di Grom. Mrs S chose the special of the month Apple Pie. All were nice but not outstanding gelato. Price is reasonable but a little higher than you can get elsewhere.
