Best Sea Bass I've had so far in Italy

It was actually by chance that we ate at this restaurant in Milan, our apartment was more or less a 100 meters from this street and we thought of eating here since a friend told us "Milan specializes on seafood". The staff was very accommodating and attentive, in our country (or probably in our... read more

You know when you are in a genuinely good traditional restaurant when it is patronised mainly by local people. In fact they call in even up until 11 pm making for a relaxed friendly atmosphere. We love to eat here because it is in a quiet area well away from the tourist hoards in the Opera/Dumo area. It was convenient... More

Came here for the third time in two years and we were really disappointed. This used to be a very special place. But this time round, the restaurant was almost empty, the food was average and the service was artificially fake-friendly. Wondering what has happened.

We were there by the recommendation from the hotel staff. It only 5 minutes walk from the hotel we were staying. (around 5 minutes walk from Duomo di Milano) . It was a small and family style restaurant. The food was good and above average and best of all, it was opened until midnight.

This place is about 6 minutes walk from the Duomo, along little cobbled streets but it is well worth seeking out as it is a place where locals go for a nice night out. Friendly staff, crisply starched tablecloths and good food. Lovely. We paid 90 euros for dinner with wine.

From the atmosphere, to the service, this knocked it out of the park. Delicious carpaccio, stunning seafood risotto and the prawns were sweet and melted in your mouth. This is a high end establishment catering to an international crowd, close your eyes when the bill comes and remember the experience. I will come back here next time I'm Milano.

The food is all delicious. Particularly, I enjoyed the risotto milanese, ossobucco, and chocolate souflee.

I ate here many many times in 2010-12 but I stopped coming as service was going downhill fast and food became blander and blander. I was urged to give it another go as ownership had changed, so after a 2-year 'break' I went back, and am very glad I did. As you can tell from timing and tone of reviews... More

We had a lovely evening at this elegant restaurant dressed in white tablecloths. The atmosphere and service were both just perfect. We chose wine from a nice selection then ordered the 3 fish tartare platter served on fresh salad as a shared appetizer. All three fish (Salmon, Amberjack & Tuna) were delicious. They provide lemon and olive oil to dress... More

We were looking for a place to eat on a Sunday night and stumbled across Santa Marta. What a wonderful meal!! We had the Cold cuts platter. I'm not talking baloney but Yummy Parma ham, salami and bacon! Tasty, well cooked Osso Buco, Milanese Veal Cutlet and homemade biscuits with cream completed our meal! The wine list was extensive. Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
