Spontini has always been one of Milano favourite pizzeria. Fair prices excellent pan pizza quick and polite service. Alas times have changed, I went yesterday and had one of the worst pizza. Badly baked with chewing gum cheese. How sad....

If you visit Milan, make sure you have some time to grab a 1,5 portion slice margarita with cold beer at Spontini. I always do.. and have never regret :)

You either like this pizza or you don't. I personally think the pizza is too doughy despite its crispy outer layer. I'm willing to bet they put anchovy in their sauce, it tasted fishy. You can't fault the simplicity of their menu especially when you dine out with a family. I may not like it but it is a popular... More

It is not the original Italian pizza, this is a thick one but it is very delicious! I would say your travel to Milan won't complete without one slice of Spontini pizza!

I don't usually go for the monster pie-type pizza but I liked this one for its simplicity. It's just tomato sauce and loads of mozzarella on a crust that's crispy and greasy on the outside and soft on the inside.

It's known to be the best pizza in Milan as it is unique in its service of only one kind of pizza. "Margarita" pizza. Opened since 1953. Renovated a couple of years ago I think? Excellent!

I personally love this pizza. It's got a huge thick crust which is cooked in a pan with a lot of oil which gives a nice crispy outer layer. The top is soft and bubbly and cheesey without an abundance of pomodoro. Just right for me. This pizza comes in two sizes - big and small! I recommend small. The... More

if you are looking for a traditional italian pizza forget Spontini. But at a very reasonable price you can find here the best food in town. You can have only one kind of pizza, very thick, and fried in the owen. No frills, much taste!

This is not like your ordinary pizza. It is thick, scrumptious, covered with cheese, and the portion is exactly right after walking down the shops in corso buenos. They don't offer variety of menu because they are pretty eat and dash place. You can sit down but if the place is busy don't expect to chat cos once the plate... More

Notwithstanding that it's a famous and super busy place, I found an overwhelmed staff, that has no chance to be friendly, and the pizza is not digestible.
