Great at first not that great at second

I came here two years ago with my boyfriend and I thought it was delicious, its thick bread margherita pizza. The flavor of the dough was its uniqueness. I came a second time with friends but I found it was too fatty but the same flavor of the dough. I have not tried the one in Duomo but the one... read more

The pizza here is served with only one topping (cheese) and there are no other options. The crust is thicker than a slice of cake and doughy on the inside. The amount of mozzarella cheese on top could barely stay on the slice and the dripping grease was very unappetizing. Three slices cost us 18 euros and we ended up... More

Spontini has become famous for its pizza margherita al taglio. The ingredients are very special: the mozzarella, the tomato sause and the high dough. During peak hours, you will find a long queue of people, either waiting for their take-away pizza or waiting to get a seat. The place is really renowned in Milan. Why not to have a try?

The old Spontini, near Piazzale Loreto was different. This new Spontini that recently opened behind the galleria Vittorio Emanuela sells greasy, doughy over-priced pizza, definitely a no go.

Traditional pizza in Milan that has to be tasted, you will not help but ordering another one after the first, unless you order the bigger slice :).

Very casual, quick place, with only pizza margeritha as a choice. Definetely worth not visiting, you can find it even in Autogrill chain.

A casual quick place for a pizza al taglio. Few types of pizza to choose from, product was fresh since turnover is quite good. The quality is not bad tough it could be better, and just a little more effort from the staff to cut the pizza well will make your life easier.

The Spontini's has their own style of pizza, deep, large pan with soft dough, you have to try to feel the real differences from the other styles. Lasagna is also nice.

Many places were closed the Saturday before Easter so we ended up here as a fourth choice. Was a line at 1:30 but we got a seat pretty fast as it is not the type of place you linger. We both got the large portion which is a lot of bread and a little above average amount of cheese. The... More
