Thick dough, slim price

We took the last piece of pizza before closing time (which is at 3 PM in Italy) and were very, very happy. The place has a long history but the interior is quite generic so it's not too special, but once you try the pizza, you won't be sorry - if you like really but really thick dough. The staff... read more

A good friend of mine recommended this pizza house to me.. Its very easy to find, just go inside the huge shopping malls on the left side of duomo.. Go to intersection & turn left.. Go straight,, the restaurant is just at the corner opposite the mcdonalds (the big mcd, not the small one).. They have 3 choice of pizza... More

Spontini is a classic in Milan. You will not find anything but a simple thick pizza that represents a tradition for milanesi. You can eat inside or take away from the few spots around the city. The one in Via Spontini is the original. Don't expect a light pizza, there's enough olive oil and mozzarella and there isn't veggie option.

We stumbled upon this place and it was superb. Their menu is simple yet they do it right. Deep dish, crisp crust, soft middle and the sauce and cheese were amazing. Note that they take cash only. When cashier realized We needed to go to an ATM he said forget it ($6 euros short), pay us next time your here.... More

I came here two years ago with my boyfriend and I thought it was delicious, its thick bread margherita pizza. The flavor of the dough was its uniqueness. I came a second time with friends but I found it was too fatty but the same flavor of the dough. I have not tried the one in Duomo but the one... More

The pizza here is served with only one topping (cheese) and there are no other options. The crust is thicker than a slice of cake and doughy on the inside. The amount of mozzarella cheese on top could barely stay on the slice and the dripping grease was very unappetizing. Three slices cost us 18 euros and we ended up... More

Spontini has become famous for its pizza margherita al taglio. The ingredients are very special: the mozzarella, the tomato sause and the high dough. During peak hours, you will find a long queue of people, either waiting for their take-away pizza or waiting to get a seat. The place is really renowned in Milan. Why not to have a try?
