Milanese concept of fast food, you have three types of slices available. huge and thick. eat with fingers or plastic forks&knives, no seats, just standig. pizza was good, beer could be colder, a good choice for a low budget meal

A must to eat. Now they are opening many locations, including one near Duomo. Not many different pizzas, but they are know for making one type of pizza.

... well they serve you bad and as soon as your plate is finished they kick you out. If you are allergic to fish like in my case and you ask if there is any fish in the tomato sauce they answer no, they simply do not care, ... and guess what .. there are so called "alici" in the... More

We loved this place. The pizza is like the very best Chicago deep pan Very simple cafeteria style deco. Queue of Milanese outside the door even on a Wednesday in August Looking for a quiet place to spend an evening savouring your food?.......look elsewhere If you want fresh piping hot pizza with a thick crust a tasty tomato sauce (... Spontini is a Milanese institution, since approx 50 years. Everything begin in via Spontini, a side strett of corso Buonos Aires (downtown). In view on the well deserved success, several new outlets have been opened, including via Marghera and corso Paniniano, both close to downtown and easily accessible. So, you can't run away from it....and you should not. Slice of... More

Probably the yummiest pizza in Milan (if you like thick crust of course), and it's also pretty cheap! You can see the cooks preparing the pizza. There is scarcely any topping choice, but the classic Spontini's pizza is simply delicious. Spontini is usually pretty crowded, but you can buy pizza to go (you'll need fork and knife!)

Came in on a Sunday evening after more than 12 hours of travel and 4 hours walking the old city. Everything about this place was just what I needed. It's spartan, don't go if you are looking for a restaurant. Order the pizza and beer. Nobody, and I mean not even 1 person diverged from this. It was brilliant. Everything... More

No topping choice, simple recipe and unusually thick (more like bread than the standard pizza we know) but the taste is amazing! Watching the cooks preparing the food is a great experience either. It does not feel like the healthiest meal in the world, but we were happy to pay the price! :-)
