Worth to try

Raw prawn is super good. Cooked prawn is just so so. Beef steak is a bit over-cooked but it's common around this area. The bread are served in hot which are very impressive. Waiters are very attentive. They have English menu so it's easy to understand. Prices ate reasonable. Have many choice of... read more

The ambiance of the restaurant is very relaxing and the food are very special. Thought it's a little costly. We ordered three different taste of piazzas and shared it together with my friends.

The restaurant is at the city center and offers a combination of traditional Mantovan and Sicilian food. The setting is nice and the personnel very pleasing and accommodating. Very nice food and wines. Highly recommended.

Tiratappi is tucked away a little from the main squares and streets but is well worth seeking out. Pumpkin mousse ravioli and a good salad to start, followed by pork fillet with pistachios and pork knuckle; all well presented interesting and tasty. Good choice of wines by bottle and glass. Pleasant efficient but relaxed service. A thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Stopped for a meal at Tiratappi on the recommendation of a fellow traveler on the train from Florence. He said the Mantova area is famous for its pumpkin-filled ravioli. Finding the resto was a bit challenging, but well worth the effort. On being seated fresh breads and crackers arrived - warmed. We were delighted to see the ravioli on the... More

Nice little spot in a quiet square a few steps from the main Piazza Erbe and the tourist restaurants. Confusingly listed as a bar in the Rough Guide it's actually a fairly upscale restaurant serving traditional local dishes like the ravioli alla zucca and risotto pilota (sic) which we had. Nice food, friendly service and a shady terrace - what... More

Tiratappi seemed to be the only place with customers on a hot July night. They have a short menu, everything pretty pricey, and no caraffe wine. Still the food was ok -not the best, fresh and house-made we have got - but ok. Service was attentive.

Had an evening meal here, good location on a small square behind the Basilica not far off the large busy centre square. We sat outside, nice warm evening, stars in the sky, good service and a relaxed meal, a proper Italian dinning experience. We thought the food was pretty good, a reasonable selection and prices, no complaints.

We went for a romantic dinner and had very high expectations following the reviews. We ordered 3 dishes ( polenta , ravioli and seabass) none of which really knocked us over. Polenta was a bit flat, ravioli a bit too al dente , and the seabass a bit on the salty side. Service was excellent and the location is also... More
