Wonderful find in the back streets of the old town.

I was tempted in by the promise of perch served on a layer of pureed broad beans with deep fried rings of leek as a topping and wasn't disappointed. We had a perfectly ok meal - the food was cooked well etc. but we asked if we could have a side order of vegetables and we were told that such wasn't possible; we asked for a dessert wine to finish, but they don't serve it. There's an over emphasis on the bread (volume not quality). It's not a romantic... More

This was recommended to us by a local and we just turned up at start of service without a booking. Brilliant fresh local lake and mountain food. The ricotta ravioli dish was SO tasty, which isn't the norm with that dish elsewhere. Very good value for money compared with other restaurants. (This is not the place for those who want... More

The trattoria is tucked away with a noticeable blackboard menu outside. The aforementioned menu appealed to us and so we arrived early the following day to ensure we could find a table. The restaurant filled up in no time so I would suggest an early arrival or a lunchtime visit to reserve a table for the evening. I ordered pasta... More

Lovely friendly little restaurant, warm welcome, great food and great wine, special mention to the gnoochi! Being a regular user of tripadvisor over the years I used it to this holiday to pick out the places we wanted to eat. Tripadvisor didn't let us down, as when travelled before, I feel if you find somewhere thats not smack in the... More

Beautiful restaurant, friendly and fun staff- amazing food. One of the best restaurant I've ever been in Italy, very nice decor, great ambience. Must try all of the pasta & risotto dishes- and the pate!! Speechless. Dessert - only had room to share a fresh blue berry pannacotta- which is incredible.

Found this place walking around. The chefs pate was to die for...Yummy! All the choices we ordered were excellent and extremely well prepared. Staff was friendly and spoke English. Our server was pleasant and engaging. We would definitely eat there again if we're around Stresa again.

This restaurant didn't have the views/romantic setting which we had had on other nights on our holiday but that didn't matter, off the beaten track a little, this restaurant was charming, the food was amazing (only night on the holiday which we had three courses). We had two pasta dishes to start (the ravioli was beautifully balanced and the fresh pesto... More

This was recommended by our apartment owner and is sure to please. We had the pork and was so well priced but better than the food in the piazza. The wine was good too. Great value for fresh cuisine. Well done to the chef and owner.

We had dinner here on our first night in Stresa. From the moment we stepped in, we felt welcome, even though we didn't have a reservation. The waiters were all very attentive and friendly throughout the meal. We loved the decor in the restaurant. It felt very stylish, yet relaxed. We ordered different courses. They were all great, but the... More
