Great pasta!

Although a slightly mixed experience, the pasta main dish was very nice. The starter was not really what I was expecting and probably something got 'lost in translation'. Whilst the manager speaks excellent English and was very helpful, the other staff were less bi-lingual and this was a problem... read more

The place was recommended by the hotel staff, I do not know why ... the food was very mediocre, the service was bad and the atmosphere was hostile, price was very expensive, not recommended !!!

This restaurant is recommended by specialised guides and 5 stars Hotel concierges in town . Nevertheless, there is nothing you could really enjoy from Italian cuisine at this address. Plates lack of taste and personal seems to be sad and tired. Good but expensive wine list though.

We ate there while visiting Stresa. We were seated at the back in the terrace. The services was slow. We have waited more than half an hour for the main disnes although the restaurant was not busy. Meanwhile tne mosquitoes had plenty of time to celebrate. We almost canceled our order when eventualy the dishes arived. The food was very... More

We where told by a local that Ristorante Piemontese served fillet steak so we booked a table, but when we arrived and where given the menu fillet steak was nowhere to be found. The owner apologised, even though he was not at all at fault and informed us that he would not be offended if we went else where and... More

Excellent food that is typical of true area, great wine list, friendly attentive service and a beautiful courtyard covered with grape vines with bunches of grapes hanging down. Pretty good value too

Unpretentious, with very traditional décor, and very nice setting. Food is fabulous, and at very reasonable costs. Just off the main town square and not far from the ferry pier. This is Piemontese cuisine at its best. Service is very good.

My wife and I absolutely love this restaurant. We have eaten here a number of times including twice in May. We always have our last lunch in Stresa here. We were able to eat on the patio both times, but the dining room is also beautiful. The two brothers that own and manage Piemontese are absolutely charming wonderful hosts. We... More

We have been twice over the past month, the food is excellent and the head waiter, one of the owning brothers, is a top sommelier. They have an excellent wine cellar, only 10 to 15 % overpriced I would say. The food is among the best on offer along the lago maggiore, they are kind and friendly and really welcomed... More

We returned to Piemontese for Easter lunch yesterday. Two of us had the fixed price lake menu (fish) and another simply the pate and vitello tomato. The Easter menu looked good, but we really like the way they do fish here. The wine was the house wine named after the mother of the proprietors, although this restaurant has one of... More
