I was with a group of friends and we sat outside in the courtyard. Wall to wall mosquitos, grotty plastic tablecloths and plastic chairs. Rude staff demanding to know if you wanted a glass for red or white wine, big production about giving everyone the correct cutlery and then forgetting the cutlery at times so you could not eat what... Looking for something different in Stresa and came across this restaurant. The portions were small but the preparation and taste was excellent. Had the lamb and a panna cotta and found both wonderful. Also the bread selection was good with 4 or 5 types in the basket.

Dining on amazing food in their beautiful garden was the highlight of our food adventures in Stresa . . . and that's saying something because we never had a bad meal. Pricey, but totally worth it.

Old italian style restaurant with nice menu and choice of wine. Food is good and prices too. But service is not good. We had to wait too long for our main course; personnel is too slow in responding. Only when we left the owner apologised for poor service.

Our friends, my husband and I were looking forward to a meal in this restaurant following a guide book recommendation and courtyard surroundings which were pretty and enchanting on a summers evening. How deceptive appearances can be! The food was cold from the outset and the last straw came with a dish of scallops and prawns which 3 of us... More

Piemontese is one of the "white tablecloth" places among the large number of outdoor restaurants, trattorias and pizza joints in Stresa. We had a light dinner at this restaurant and were extremely pleased. We split a polenta with dried beef and a pasta dish. The restaurant also gave us an amuse bouche of a small cup mushroom soup. We foiund... More

The restaurant has a charming vine-covered courtyard, an extensive world-wide wine list and a diverse menu offering lots of choice, but still delivering quality for each dish. The service was attentive and well paced, allowing time to savour each dish. A complimentary appetizer is served and we didn't have a single disappointing dish. We went twice! Stresa is very much... We were here for dinner. The restaurant offers a large variety of different wines from all over the world. Some of them can also be ordered by the glass. In addition to the ordered 3 courses an additional soup was severed. The food was really excellent. It is a must to have a look at the dessert menu - from... More
