Lovely meal

This is a lovely restaurant near the main piazza. We booked a table, which is probably advisable because it was full in no time. The food was delicious and well presented. The service was professional and unhurried. We will return if we visit Stresa again.

We returned to Piemontese for Easter lunch yesterday. Two of us had the fixed price lake menu (fish) and another simply the pate and vitello tomato. The Easter menu looked good, but we really like the way they do fish here. The wine was the house wine named after the mother of the proprietors, although this restaurant has one of... More

My wife and I have had lunch several times during our stays in Stresa. We had lunch twice there two weeks ago. Menu is excellent and the service is terrific. The restaurant is family owned, and we have always felt like we were in their home. Cannot go wrong eating here. Will always return.

The region of Piemonte is full of excellences and Ristorante Piemontese in Stresa is one of these. In this precious and old fashioned place you will simply remain without words because the taste of any recipe is absolutely delicious. Every dish is perfecly balanced in a row from antipasti to desserts. Also the mise en place is almost perfect. You... More

Get a table inside and feel the elegant way of eating in Italy! The owner was very friendly. The food was nicely presented. We had bressaola with goat cheese, gnocci with a sauce of cream and hazelnuts that was delicious and pasta with ragu. Prices were fair.

Picked this restaurant out of a guide book and because it looked very authentic. We were shown to a table in the courtyard at the back - plastic chairs and tables - which bears no resemblance to the smart interior at the front of the restaurant. Service was very slow and the food was a disappointment - cold and pretty... More

This is a lovely restaurant in the center of town. The quality of the food was very good, probably some of the best that we have tasted in the Stresa. The service may be considered slow, but it gave the effect of unhurried ambiance. The serving staff were very pleasant. We had not booked and arrived at 7.30pm; by 8pm... More

If you looking for a nice quiet restaurant with white linen and excellent service then book a reservation here. The staff worked very hard to serve us a wonderful meal and to make sure we enjoyed our meal. We enjoy so e southwest soup that was amazing. We ate wonderful pasta and had the house recommended red wine. It was... More

Really enjoyed the meals we got at this restaurant, which we went to at lunch by chance having not done any research in advance. It's off one of the lanes and clearly more upmarket than many other offerings, but the additional cost was worth it and it's still not that pricey anyway really.
