We walked past this place initially and dismissed because of the pictures of the food on the walls (we had a bad experience with 'pasta a la Ping' in Rome once! However, decided to go for dinner here based on the Trip Adviser reviews. We were not disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful, speaking excellent English, the food is... More

Considering the prime location in the main square, the Torino was very reasonably priced. the staff were very friendly. The food was excellent with generous portions. I had the schnitzel and it was of excellent quality.

I always break my journey at Milan Malpensa and take a day to myself to visit around Stresa where I buy hand made shoes for driving, close to this location in the Piazza you will find Caffe Torino,it is one of the most popular restaurants with locals and tourists alike,I have visited only three times in as many years and their... This place is a great cafe / restaurant which we ate lunch in several times. They have a list of lunchtime specials which are printed in Italian however the waiters can do a full interpretation into English. We found the food tasty, the service was good, loads of complimentary flavoured olive oils are available to choose from, and if it's... More

A little gem, lovely food, lovely atmosphere. Nice touch to get an ice cold limoncello at the end of the meal. Price was very reasonable.

We ate here on two occasions while on holidays in Stresa based on the very good recommendations on this site. Each time we left a bit disappointed with what we the food. The first night my wife ordered the pasta "crepe" It was coldand tastless except for the lumps of chese that looked and tasted like sour milk. She put... More

Well placed within the centre square of Stresa this restaurant beat the others purely because of its great selection on the menu including a vegetarian section (not something that we came across often). The T-bone steak was delicious (I'm not the vegetarian) and the ravioli was delicious too. The waiter was friendly and helpful when guiding our choices and making... More

Since arriving in Stresa we have discovered that eating outside leaves you open to eating in a cloud of cigarette smoke which just would not be allowed in the UK thank goodness. We sat at a table outside and when engulfed by smoke once again we asked to move inside. There was no fuss at all and our evening was transformed.The... More

We had a caprese salad as a starter and then the homemade ravioli and penne arrabiata. As a dessert we had icecream and the chocolate cake. Everything was simply perfect, from the service to the food. The restaurant itself looked clean, the restrooms were also clean. We will definitely go back to this restaurant when in stresa again.
