We were lucky to get a table early in the evening whilst staying in Stresa and even then the restaurant was full. We loved the food and ambience. Couldn't believe our eyes as drinks and nibbles were taken outside for clients who were waiting for tables and the Chef popped in and out overseeing activities. Recommend a visit and enjoy... More

We had an excellent dinner here, chosing local specialities recommend by the knowledgeable staff. Simply delicious, you would be advised to book as premises are small. Good service, good wine list would definitely recommend!

Good food and atmosphere. This is very popular so best to book. There were many customers who were obviously regulars. Always a good sign.

Feel very welcome in this busy, local restaurant. Reserve a table or be prepared to wait.. But, its worth the wait!! Try lamb chops or Argentinian entrecote - Gattinara or Ghemme local nebbiolo red's!!

Lovely traditional trattatoria with great warm cosy atmosphere, superb service and execellent food. My wife had the mixed fish grill and said it was some of the best fish she had eaten and beautifully cooked. Chef takes pride in the restaurant and is seen constantly checking on kitchen and service which shows why the place is so good with people... More

Reasonably priced and the food is wonderful. Worth the wait if you cannot go early to avoid the line. This is a small resturant and like all Italian restaurants they will not push you to turn the able.

Booked this restaurant for two seperate nights once we arrived in Stresa and had expected it to be the culinary highlight of our trip but it turned out to be a big let down and it seemed to be very busy each night. The chef\owner was very friendly and spent most of his time at the front door welcoming guests... More

Went to this busy restaurant few years ago but this time it was not as good. Same nice and colourful owner, efficient staff, but it is getting too busy for its own good. Even the glass of spumante offered as a gesture for the waiting time outside did not make up for the quality of the food. The fish was... More

We booked for 7pm when restaurant opened, another table who were waiting for friends were asked to leave at 10 past 7 when the missing couple hadn't turned up. Couples put on a table for 4 were left somewhat surprised when total strangers were sat with them in order to maximise covers. If you don't mind eating under pressure knowing... More

This is exactly how I imagined Italian dining to be a small quirky place, with fantastic traditional Italian food which was good value for money and friendly staff - a lovely touch was the head chef coming out to check we were all ok. Just be prepared to wait for a table as very popular and very small however whilst... More
