We stayed in Stresa for five nights and had lunch here then made a reservation for dinner another night. When we arrived for dinner we were given complementary glasses of prosecco as our table wasn't quite ready. Both times I had the seafood ravioli with pesto and asparagus, words cannot describe how good this was combined with a starter of... More

Probably advisable to book!! Another warm and welcoming spot in Stresa, food was of a good quality and within a nice rustic cosy setting.

Luckily we booked a table as people were having to wait outside for the next table. It is rustic. We were a party of 2 and had to share a table with another couple. It was a bit awkward as they had already ordered and the waiter had to talk loudly over their heads ( the table was against the... More

I'm really not sure why this restaurant is so highly rated. I tried to book a table for 7.30pm for the following night but the waiter advised me this was not possible - only 7.00pm or 8.00pm - but the chef/owner appeared very quickly and advised this was certainly possible. No mention about sharing a table with another couple! While... More

The food was excellent. The only thing better than the food was the hospitality and service. When we got to the restaurant the place was packed and we had to wait for a free table, so the chef bought out wine and some cheeses while we wait. You don't see that every day :)

We passed here a few times and there were always people waiting for tables and while they waited, they were given glasses of wine and cheese. We went one night and the food we had was excellent, it's only small and very cosy but with a great atmosphere and the food was excellent. Well worth waiting to get in.

A word of warning at first - this is a small, busy and very good restaurant. As a result, you share tables. If you are a couple, it might as well be that you will share a table with another couple. If it bothers you - don't go. But you'll miss out on food. The food is excellent. I had... More

Get there early as opens at 7pm in evenings, or booking is recommended. All fresh and local dishes. No need to spend loads on the wine as house wine was lovely. Table space is limited so you may end up wasting with other couples. We ended up having a great laugh with a French couple who were on an anniversary... More

Good food but disappointed after booking a table for 8 pm for two people to then find that a table had not been reserved and had to share a very small table with another couple, which was not big enough for four people. Unfortunately, no apology so would not be returning.
