Just as good as the reviews say. Fantastic tartar de boeuf. Pasta was out of this world great. Good wine list and professional staff. Desserts awesome.

I write this with a limited knowledge of the food at this restaurant but if the lamb shank was any indication of how good the food is here you had better go!! My husband ( a wine snob says that the wine list was great. The atmosphere was quiet and the service good. It was full on a Monday night!!

"The best food of our Stresa visit", said my wife. "The asparagus ravioli was simply the best I have ever had." Using TripAdvisor we found this gem. The asparagus ravioli, baked scallop parcels, tomato risotto and wine by the glass were superb. Unfortunately we had to skip desserts due a tired child. If I could, I would love to come... More

The concierge at our hotel recommended Il Vicoletto as being one of the best restaurants in Stresa, and he was right. Lovely, fresh flavours in a modern presentation. We had two entrees - the polenta and salt cod, and the seafood tasting plate - both were beautifully presented and were very flavoursome. For primi piatti I had the scallop dish... More

The hotel made reservations and we had second thoughts, since hotel recommendations are usually not too reliable. We are sure happy we listened! The lake pike perch was among the best fish ever, and the Taglierini pasta with seafood was well seasoned. The minestrone soup was beyond delicious, so we have to rate this as, overall, one of the best... More

We have eaten here several times while in Stresa. We ate here twice during our stay in early May. Still excellent. Fine dining and excellent wine list and staff. Still one of two of our favorite restaurants in Stresa.

Fantastic dishes to celebrate the asparagus season. Polite assistance and service. Don't miss if you are around.

My hotel recommended Il Vicoletto as a "not touristy" place, though also a little pricier than the touristy places. I felt like it was an "affordable fine dining" experience, meaning that the food was presented in a beautiful way and tasted wonderful, but the service and atmosphere was more casual (no uniforms for the staff) and the price appropriate. I... More

Very nice restaurant where traditional Italian food is melted with finer dining. Small restaurant nicely decorated. I have to come back to taste other meals.

From the minestrone soup in a pesto base to the fresh water perch, you can't do much better in Stresa (unless George Clooney invites you over to his place). Two women handled the entire room with grace and charm. Hope we get to go back!
