Best meal of our trip

3 weeks in northern Italy and this meal stood out. Simple tasty pastas. Delicious mixed seafood starter and everything we didn't order that appeared on nearby tables looked equally good. Highly Recommend!!

We had lunch here with the four of us; two adults and two boys (age 10 and 7). The food was great, especially the risotto, which was freshly prepared for us (waiting time ca 20 minutes). The wines by the glass were also very good and the waitress was very friendly. Finally, this place offers good value for money. In... More

Last minute booking but they fitted us in. We watched many others turned away! Excellent food, using clearly fresh and high quality ingredients. Small premises and servings not over large but ample. Superb cuisine. To be recommended!

The food is very good and the service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is not particularly atmospheric though. Definitely make a reservation. We must have watched 30 people be turned away

Went there for dinner and had 2 courses each. Really fine cuisine for a moderate price. Good wine selection (Italian) moderately priced as well (10 euros range for a half bottle). Can not comment on dessert we went outside for an ice cream.

Went here on a Friday night and loved it. Only a small restaurant so make sure you book. Many people were turned away while we were there. Extensive wine list at good prices and efficient and friendly service. We had gazpacho starter, which was very welcome on a hot night. Our scallop pasta(wife), and asparagus ravioi(me), were delicious. Couldn't be... More

The place is a little hard to find and hard to get into --- it's a small hidden gem in a tiny street ("vicoletto") off of the main square. Well worth it. The food is delicious and well presented. Nice service. Reasonably priced. The only complaint: portions are on the small side. I had three courses which I almost never... More

We came across this little restaurant in the back streets of Stresa, liked what we saw and went back for a special meal. There are some tables outside but the waitress sensibly advised us to reserve a table inside, where it was air-conditioned, as the weather forecast was for 37 deg C. My wife had gazpacho for starter - yes,... More

We have visited stresa many times over the past 25 years and ate here when it was a fish restaurant. ate here tonight and not overwhelmed. I realise we are in the. Minority as reviews are excellent but this is our personal view. It was so hot inside the restaurant we could not enjoy our food. Service was very good... More

We visited in Il Vicoletto in June 2015. They have excellent food, huge wine selections and friendly customer service. Reservation in advance is needed. In addition, their wine selection was great. We enjoyed a dinner twice in this restaurant and we can highly recommended this! We gave a tip of this excellent restaurant from from a local guy. He also... More
