A meal to remember

The lamb, the pastry, the coffee and the wine were much above the standards in a tourist area. I didn't ask how the meat was cooked but the chef knows his job. Some of the maps of Stresa don't mention the vicolo but it's definitely worth looking for.

It is a cozy, clean restaurant with a warm welcome from the owner. The fact that special attention is taken to tablewear, glasses and cutlery is nice and exceptional in Italy. The food is good, portions a bit small, nice wine selection, not cheap not really overpriced. Overal, just when i would call it a happy experience, i then get... More

Make sure you make a reservation, even in off season! This was a small, intimate restaurant with great - excellent food and wine selections.

We first dined here on a Sunday, and enjoyed it so much we returned the next Wednesday. I had the beef and wild/local mushrooms on the first occasion and the lamb dish on the second, and my wife had the opposite. Both were superb each time. Their breads are very nice, and we enjoyed a lovely dessert each time. Good... More

Small restaurant in the heart of the city. A little hard to find but so much worth it. The food is all blissfull, in fact this restaurant is referenced in the Guide Michelin and has been for many years. Service is perfect. Choice of different wines is quite impressive. Decoration simple and of good taste. During winter when inside, might... More

This is a charming and cosy restaurant just off a pretty square in the middle of Stresa. The food was delicious. We started with home made ravioli filled with fresh spinach in a creamy parmesan sauce. Then I had lamb which was so beautifully cooked it was as soft as butter, with a delicious sauce. My husband had fish which... More

my wife and I had lunch here two weeks ago. It was our second visit-our first last May. Excellent menu and professional service. Would always return. We believe this is one of the two best restaurants in Stresa.

The food is good here especially the octopus salad but I think it's a little over rated and there are other great restaurants in the area. Desserts were not value for money - 24 euros for 4 teeny tiny portions of chocolate desserts served on huge plates, only a couple of mouthfuls each for the four of us. Not worth... More
