Because the food was pretty good (excellent pasta and the best pizza we had in Stresa, by far) and the prices very reasonable, we decided to overlook the abrupt service we received and give them another chance. We got the same waiter and she recognized us as return customers, but she treated us so coldly that we felt our business... More

Stressa has a lot of up market and frankly pretentious restaurants so it was good to find this pleasant local place and we ended up eating there twice. When we returned the second time the waitress recognized as and was really pleased we came back - it was kind of nice that the waitress identified with the place. Everyone was... More

We ended up there after being refused by a posh restaurant, because it was... too late, at 1 : 15 pm... Moving on. We then walked in the neigboorhood, and there it was, La Rosa dei Venti. We went in, and we felt... in Italy. A lovely lady welcomed us, and indeed took care of my family from the first... More

We ate lunch here after doing the boat tour on the lake. We liked the location and the menu looked appealing. We were surprised at the low prices compared to the portion sizes. Pizza in particular is an excellent value. The food was delicious and the staff were prompt and courteous. We did feel a bit rushed because they were... More

Nice and a very good price. 4 Euro for a Pizza Margherita and few more euros (up to 8 - 9 in total) for the one's with extras. Pizza size is more then adequate for 1 hungry adult. Service was friendly. If you want Pizza with pepperoni (sausage) ask for Diavola. I asked for pepperoni and got pizza with peppers... More

On a main road but still nice to sit out. We had the local fish, Lavarello or Coregone apparently from the lake, with sage and butter which was very nice. Didn't feel like you were necessarily a tourist which always helps.

We stayed in the La Luna hotel nearby and ate here 3 times. Yes because it was convenient but also because the staff were excellent, the place was comfortable and the food was very good and great value. The food is simple and tasty - excellent pizzas, lovely fresh antipasti, very good pasta dishes and a good range of desserts.... More

The place was recomended to us by Josepe- The owner of "La Fontana" hotel. We asked him for an unexpensive local restaurant (hard to find something in Stresa that is not super-touristic). It was no dissapointment! The salmon was the best we've had in a while, and the pizzas nothing short of wonderful. Warm atmosphere, good service- Will definately visit... More
