This was the best meal we had on a fortnight's holiday in the Lake Como area. It's a small restaurant, among a group of good places along Via XX Settembre, with a few tables outside and not so very many more inside. The decor is cool and elegant. We were there on a quiet night, a Monday, and that may... More

Small intimate restaurant with excellent unobtrusive service. Great flavours in both meat and vegetarian dishes and a really good knowledge and use of local products. Local wines are well chosen. We went twice during our week long stay. Make sure you book in advance so you are not disappointed.

We stumbled across this small restaurant today and I'm so glad we did. Grilled vegetables with toasted farinata (a chickpea flour bread) was the antipasti that we shared which I followed with gnocchi that was lightly dressed in a sauce made from three types of tomatoes. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his homemade ravioli filled with lake fish and tossed with... More

It's one of places on Contrada Scoscesa - 3m wide street where every restaurant has a couple of tables on the street. It's quite atmospheric and supported by good food and wine from Cavatappi. I would say that the food is quite simple but cooked good.

A cozy five-table restaurant overflowing with ambiance, wonderful food, a great variety of excellent wines, and friendly, attentive service. I had a fish from the lake, which was interestingly prepared and delicious. We could have eaten outside without a reservation, but made for the next evening inside. It was worth the wait and the repeat climb.

Our first meal in Varenna for our honeymoon. It was a very authentic dining experience. The flavors were great and the waiter was fantastic. The burrata was the best we had in italy even though it was literally the first thing we ate. While it wasn't overlooking the lake, it was equally nice to sit in the charming street.

We dined outside in the archway at a very romantic table. The owner was extremely nice and accommodated us even though it was fairly late. We had an average antipasti plate, but the pastas were outstanding, we had handmade spaghetti with zucchini sauce and prawns, and gnochetti with tomatos and ricotta. Both delicious and not too expensive. A lot of... More

Dropped in here by chance on a recent visit to Varenna and what a delightful find. The food is fantastic and the restaurant small and intimate with only seven tables. We both enjoyed the home made pasta washed down with some really good red wine. After we finished it was great to chat to the chef and the staff about... More

Small, authentic and so well cooked. This restaurant charmed us in so many ways and we can strongly recommend it. When the chef started telling about his grandmothers pesto recipe I was about to cry!

Everything we ate was perfectly cooked and presented. The service was so nice and it was fun being able to watch the food being created!
