Sadly, this restaurant has now closed. We went to Como on 20th June 2012 and the shutters were down. We asked around and were told it had closed permanently. There are rumours that they hadn't been granted a licence to continue. Shame because they produced some of the best food in Como.

We also found this restaurant by chance. many locals were there, which is always a good sign. Very enjoyable meal, English not strong but good enough to communicate and they were very helpful and freindly.

Had lunch. Picked the menue of the day, two courses 14 eur incl wine. The pasta was great, but the main chicken was a bit dry. All in all a lot of food at a very nice price. If you are looking for where the locals go this is it. The ower knew most people and we were the only... More

Went here for a birthday dinner whilst on holidays. While a little difficult to find it is worth walking around the streets for. When we arrived on a Sunday at 7.00pm the place was completely empty - but we are very glad we gave it a shot. The menu is all in italian, however we were able to get a... More

We found this place by chance. First we were unsure due to the lacking atmosphere. The food is incredible, the service very friendly. The chef even came out to assist us with the choice+ordering and served us a dish that wasn't on the menu as she found us undecided. 100% Worth coming back!

Tucked in the back streets not too far from the water front, this little cafe is a gem. It was quiet, but the food was great - delicious, simple and authentic. No outdoor seating but ideal for a day when the weather is not that great. It may not be the best food you'll find around the lake, but as... More

As we loathe touristy restaurants, we always try to hunt out where the locals tend to eat, and thank fully we managed to find another hidden gem at Nostrodamos....... Having left it to late to eat lunch, which is usually forbidden in Italy and France, we were still warmly welcomed by the staff at Nostrodamos, who turned out to be... More

We had dinner in the Nostradamos and enjoyed it a lot. The owners were extremely friendly and obliging. Our meals were excellent and we ate way to much, because everything was so good.

We had high hopes for this place but when we arrived at prime time on a Friday night, there was absolutely no one in the place, so sticking to our golden rule we moved on to Il Solito Posto for one of the best dining experiences in Italy.

We set out to eat here with high hopes given previous reviews, however upon arrival at prime time on a Friday night there was no one (that's right, no one) in the restaurant. Our golden rule is to pass if that's the case, which we did. The rating therefore reflects this and the fact that if no one in the... More
