Venison, Boar, truffles, Ristorante Rino is for the more adventurous eater. Yes, there are wonderful pizzas and pastas but why not try these tastes that are not often found in my NYC dining circle. Rustic soup with dark cabbage, bread and beans; Polenta and mushrooms with truffles. Portions are generous. Knowledge of Italian helpful as you will be the only... More

Pumpkin flan to die for. Tripe Florentine style. Steak with wine reduction and truffles. Wow. Everyone eating there was Italian - apparently locals. The restaurant served most of the traditional dishes but it was nice to see some non-traditional offerings. The Ripassa for 18 Euros was wonderful.

Family owned, nice restaurant that serves excellent food and efficient but not hectic service. It is a real Italian spacious restaurant nicely decorated with paintings and wine bottles. Very attentive service. The boletus mushrooms with summer truffles were outstanding and rich. When you know what you pay for truffles, the price of Euro 20 was more than fair. Thanks to... More

We were staying in Como for 2 nights. We asked for recommendations from our hotel staff but once we started walking around we got a bit lost and stumbled upon Restorante Rino. We lucked out! Comfortable homey setting. Filled with locals, always a good sign. They were busy and it took us a little while before we were served, but... More

We discovered this place by chance and we were highly surprised. Super high quality food and very nice service for this family run restaurant. We had the crespelle with asparagus and mushroom tagliattelle and it was succulent. We would definitively try to go there again. Best pasta we tried in Italy. The prices are fair. We paid 40 euros for... More

This is the kind of places you run into and you're happy you discovered it: far from the touristic places, this is a typical italian restaurant without any pretentious decoration but the food is just as you could imagine should be in Italy. The restaurant is specialised in Toscana specialities, pasta is housemade and all ingredients very fresh and high... More
