Pepe Nero is located in the heart of the city of Como, just a few steps from the lake and the Cathedral.Comfort, friendliness, speed and quality. The restaurant has a comfortable and refined trendy, glamorous space ideal for lunch breaks, business meetings and dinners with friends. A wide range of dishes made of meat or fish with excellent grilled specialities. A wide selection of pizzas and focaccia cooked fragrant strictly in the oven wood. You can accompany the dishes by choosing from our highly selected list of the best Italian and French wines. Black Pepper is a meeting of sensations and flavors, where the authentic tradition lives every day in keeping with the research and experimentation.

Not the best choice in Como

There are many choices better than this one in Como (except on January, 1st unfortunately). Staff is not really nice, food is ok but no more.

On a Sunday evening in November, we were looking for close and comfortable. The service was great, nothing like the past reviews. Lots of locals and a relaxed environment. Great gnocchi, ravioli, and osso buccho. A nice Chianti and the evening was set.

While strolling through Como we decided to have pizza for dinner. Food was nothing great and the service was poor. The attitude of staff was that they didn't didn't want to be there. Not friendly and felt like a tourist trap the burger on the menu should have alerted us. Cover charge of 3.5€ per person to sit in the... More

After 5 days further up the lake we arrived in Como and tried this restaurant for dinner - waiter was very, very rude, food was less than average and served with no accompaniments - I would add also that this was the most expensive meal we had and also the WORST!!

We were in Como looking for a great pizza place, and found Pepe Nero on Trip Advisor. First of all, it was the best service I had received anywhere in Switzerland or Italy on my trip here. I got the pizza with eggplant, ham, and pepper. It is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. We split a half... More

I do not like having to buy water, when we could quite happily drink tap water, which restaurants usually have no problem with. I think it was unacceptable to add a cover charge when we were not given bread or water. We asked if the mushrooms would be fresh for the mushroom pizza and I am glad we did, as... More

My wife and I went here on arrival in Como, with no knowledge of where else to go. It was close to our hotel and it was raining, so convenience was the key. It was very comfortable, though the tables are a little close together. After being given the menus it seemed like we were left alone for quite a... More

We did not have much time to spare, so we settled for pizza and some wine. The pizza was ok. The service was ok, but not VERY friendly. They do not have small bottles of water, you have to buy a big one (750 ml) - a bit much if you are alone. To have to pay coperto (2.30 each)... More

This was my first meal - a pizza for lunch - in Como. I was hungry and jet lagged so perhaps my taste buds were tired too, but the pizza was just okay. I was in Como 3 days and had much better meals, including pizzas. The sidewalk/piazza outside area was nice but again, not a rare asset in Como.
