fantastic setting and view, food secondary appeal

We ate here in July 2014 as part of an extended family vacation (14 of us). The restaurant was recommended to us by the person who rented the house to us. The restaurant is atop a windy road up a mountain outside of the town of Bellagio. We parked our cars at the bottom of the hill and were... read more

All local produce including cheese from their own cows. We had venison and rabbit -all local then home made dessert . They have minibus that will pick you up from Bellagio and takes around 15 minutes to reach their restaurant up narrow winding roads but view is amazing over lakes and mountains Friendly service and very reasonable price

What a place. The view is, of course, amazing and they pick you up! The family who own/operate the trattoria are all so kind and patient and speak great English. Everything was well priced and the dishes were all delicious and grown in their farm. After our wonderful meal, the chef spent 10 minutes with us helping us to find... More

Overrated and food terrible not a place for tourists, double standards, Italians get the views and the food servings, if you're a tourist keep away and for the fish difficult to eat is being nice. Called to make a reservation as late as possible, they said 1.30 would be the latest we could go, to our surprise customers (all Italians)... More

We were recommended by our host, collected by a very friendly young man who later became our waiter. Do go - for the view - try to reserve a table on the 'balcony'. Rustic home grown Italian food. A 'specially made' dessert after I spotted a tray of figs by the kitchen door. A fun evening.

Friendly informative family run restaurant and farm far above Bellagio. Great wine list. A little polenta goes a long way.

Our very friendly landlord's family run this fantastic place. All the food was either grown caught forraged by the family. Best porcinni pasta I have ever had. Venison stew with polenta from a terrace high above lake como with a view to die for. The road up is steep and the last part is a rough track but don't t... More

Our dinner here was memorable for so many reasons - excellent locally grown and produced food, gorgeous scenery and terrific staff. We were picked up by Jacob, who was to be both our driver and waiter. He was very personable and made the evening such a pleasure. Started off with a platter of local cheeses, each one better than the... More

Having heard of the restaurant from a store owner we decided to take a chance. It's way in the hills above Bellagio and the best way I found in getting there is to have their van pick you up at a convenient location. We soon became very friendly with the other passengers and that made for an extra nice experience.... More

Thsi place is a bit hard to find, and the drive to the restaurant is a bit bumpy. However when you are seated, you are rewarded with one of the most spectacular views I have ever seen. The food is good - local, hearty. Our kids were not big fans of the food (they are not big fans of Polenta),... More
