Disappointed

Having read all the great reviews and looked at their website, we made the effort to catch the ferry over to Bellagio to have lunch and buy a few bottles of wine before we headed home to Australia. We turned up only to find it closed with absolutely no signs advising when it would reopen nor was... read more

We absolutely loved this cozy little restaurant. The staff treated us like old friends, making us feel special and welcome even though we were just tourists. The wine selection covered a wide range and we enjoyed everything we tried. The food was excellent. We were comfortable and never rushed, and enjoyed it so much we ate there two nights in... More

Aperitivo is a cosy bar that provides comfort food snacks and meals while enjoying cocktails and Italian Wine. Andrea the wine expert provides you with an interesting background and history of italian wine but also suggests wines for each occasion. For me I went back night after night because the happy hour and chats we had with Andrea made my... More

Very nice cellar... long list of wines to choose from. The service was good the first day and we got a really nice bottle of wine recommended by the guy. Food is ok...nothing fancy to wait for.

We stopped in here for a little break before lunch having travelled up by train from Milan and then ferry from Verenna. We each chose a local wine and when they arrived the owner explained where they came from and what the differences were between them. Surprisingly, their taste, to our palattes, increased with the cost, with the most expensive... More

Atmosphere, wine and cheese, this place made our holiday! We stayed for two nights in Belaggio, and went there both nights. We didn't have a meal, but just sat and ate cheese and drank wine as it was recommended by our very knowledgable waiter, loved it!

We stumbled upon this place accidentally, drawn by the promise of an excellent wine shop inside. What a surprise! A beautifully done out winebar in a vaulted cellar, great, cheap food, dozens of wines by the bottle and glass, amazing wine knowledge on the part of the young and welcoming staff, and an Enoteca to die for (and yes, they... Didn't eat here, as we went over to San Giacomo instead, but had two very enjoyable visits. The wine tasting is worth doing, and there is such a great range of drinks to choose from. Friendly staff.

It's well positioned opposite the trattoria San Giacomo at the top of the steps and the host is a great salesman for local wines. I recognise a fellow wine lover and from day 1 this was my first and last port of call. Try the local wines especially the rose and the Nebbiolo. Also the prosecco millellesime (spelling?) and even... More

We went to this enoteca because of trip advisor reviews. The ambiance was decent, lighting could be improved- it was too bright and a bit sterile. The service however was good. We did a flight of Lombardia wines which were excellent and we enjoyed a local cheese and meat platter as well. The cost of the wine tasting for 3... More
