Wonderful restaurant off the beaten path

This amazing restaurant probably is often missed because it is away from the Bellagio city center. It has a beautiful lake-view and is walkable to the city but taxis are also readily available. This is a fairly long walk from the ferries. Taxis are available & the restaurant can organize one. They do lunch & dinner. Nice settling. Complimentary Prosecco. They have a tasting menu with chef's suggestions & a nice varied menu.

While walking back to Bellagio through Loppia, we stumbled upon this hidden gem. It was lunchtime and we were hungry, so we stopped for a bite. We were not expecting the elegance of the interior nor the classic, timeless cabaret styling renditions of Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Ella Fitzgerald playing in the background. But the real payoff came when... More

This restaurant was recommended by our boat caption while on a lake excursion. The following day my husband and I spent time walking through the lovely I Giardini di Villa Melzi and, as recommended, just outside the exit is this wonderful restaurant. We enjoyed an incredible lunch of scallops & potato puree, house made tagliolini with white truffles, and deer... More

We went to Bellagio in search of tranquility and restoration, and found gastronomic heaven at the restaurant Alle Darlene di Loppia, which is a 10 minute drive from Bellagio. The head server Franco is a delightful man, who made our experience absolutely delightful. We were so impressed by the modern take on traditional Italian food, that we went back the... More

Not the cheapest place to have your lunch, but if you're doing it 'Italian style' as we were, then it's a perfect way to fill your boots! Simply great food supported by an excellent wine list (ask for the 'orange wine') and some of the best waiting staff we experienced in our entire Italian Grand Tour.

We were in Italy for 25 days and this restaurant was one of the best by far. When we walked by on a Sunday it appeared that only one person was in the place so we hesitated to go in, but we did and the place was packed with families that looked liked they had just gotten back from Mass.... More

We recently had Sunday lunch at Alle Darsene, which was recommend to us by our Lake Como private boat guide (see my review for Boat Tour Cernobbio). This former boat house converted into an Osteria is situated just outside the Villa Melzi Gardens. It was a lovely day, so we walked through the gardens to get to Alle Darsene. We... More

Excellent lunch. We were welcomed with prosecco and had a fabulous meal. They were extremely sensitive to my gluten intolerance and offered a separate, gluten free bread/cracker basket. We ordered the special which was a white truffle pasta which was amazing. Waking here from the ferry was about 15 min and we had to pay to walk through a park.... More

I made a bee line for this restaurant after arriving in Bellagio on the ferry. I was worried it might be crowded, but I showed up to a relatively empty restaurant, which filled up slowly as my lunch progressed. I was greeted by very warm staff members and chose my seat in the beautiful terrace outside. I was presented with... More
