fantastic menu of wonderful food, well cooked and presented, with very friendly and efficient staff. A family restaurant, eating insoude or out.

This was the best...and most popular restaurant in Bellagio. The food was excellent, as was the price. Go early to avoid the wait.

My husband and I discovered this lovely, quaint, family run restaurant in Bellagio and it did not disappoint! We were lucky enough to be in Italy during Porcini season and ensured that we ordered a dish off their porcini menu! I enjoyed a minestrone soup and lamb chops while my husband devoured the porcini linguine and the fish of the... More

First ate at the San Giacomo back in 2009 and did a review as the food was excellent and one the best meals I had!! Well on my return visit to Bellagio this year 2014, happy to report, the food, service, chef, remain consistently MOLTO BENE!! Things did not change and you have to be good to carry that on... More

We arrived early to be sure of getting a seat for the evening sitting, and did not regret it. We got the best seats in the house, sitting outside and got to watch the spectacle of people wandering in and trying (and failing) to blag their way into getting a table! Be prepared for a whirlwind of order-taking as they... More

A good safe good value and friendly place. Menu small but good and the chef/owner wanders around checking it out. Good sized serves, wine list good but food is not mind blowing or cutting edge. However authentic, tasty, fresh and amazing deserts- tiramisu and the home made apple tarts and crumble fantastic. Well recommended and very popular so go at... More

We really enjoyed our dining experience here. The service was very authentic Italian and the food was outstanding. We split the Misto de la casa, fettuccine al ragu and filet and it was plenty for us. We paired it with a 2006 wine that had been very well cared for and was worth the price. If you can manage the... My husband and I went to Trattoria San Giacomo our first night in Bellagio. We knew they didn't take reservations so we went around 7:30, hoping to enjoy a glass of wine on the steps outside the restaurant while we waited. The wait was much quicker than we anticipated and we were seated by 8:00. The staff was extremely helpful... More

If you want consistently good local food at reasonable prices, look no further. Aurelio, chef and owner, with his mom in the kitchen, prepare tried and true favorites. Plenty of local fish to choose from. If you are lucky, you will be there when they serve their mushroom specials, a tradition that goes back decades. A definitely good place. We... More
