On our trip to Bellagio we ate at the Mistal restaurant on 2 occasions. The food was gorgeous, and they had quite a diverse menu to choose from. The waiting staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. They even served us a couple of dishes that weren't on their menu. Definitely the best restaurant in Bellagio! The location in the... More

we booked a table to try an italian michelin star, and late discovered the molecular twist. but we went all in - molecular menu and wines selected by sommelier. And it was fantastic. great food, sicilian prawns in coconut cream, beef tatar italien style, veal cooked in hours, local cheeses... just carry on! really fantastic experience. and the wines selected... This is a dining experience, with molecular gastronomy! We chose the degustation, which is the speciality of the restaurant. The food was an interesting experience, and the food waiters were most attentive. Given our choice of menu, we asked the sommelier to select some local wines to match the respective dishes. Most of these were dreadful, and undrinkable! In fact,... More

Decided to have one up market meal during our stay in Bellagio. A change to the more touristy restaurants in the town. A truly excellent dinner of Venison - beautifully presented and certainly Michelin star quality. However the price was too much - we went into dinner with our eyes open and knew it would not be cheap, but the... More

We didn't have the "molecular" tasting menu (whatever that is) but just had choices from the al la carte. My meal was extremely disappointing. I had gnochetti with a game ragout, but the (very dry) sauce had very little juice or life, and had very little flavour. My main was scallops, which were only luke warm, and were served with... More

First, the decor of this restaurant was lovely, not too stiff, with a beautiful view of Lake Como. Second, the staff was attentive, not at all snooty, friendly and helpful. When we asked for a wine recommendation that was something different and local, he was was like a boy sharing a favorite toy - and the wine that he shared... More

My husband had the molecular tasting menu and I ordered a la carte. Everything was delicious. Staff was wonderful and the view was stunning.

This is the setting to enjoy dinner as theater. Overlooking the best view of Lake Como, Mistral is ideal for a special occasion. The chef infuses molecular gastronomy into his seasonal local dishes, so it's the best of both worlds. It's also incredibly romantic.

We were sick of the generic Italian food in Bellagio so decided to splash out on a meal at Mistral and were glad we did. The food was great and well presented, although not the best Michelin stared meal i've had (we are spoilt for choice in London) we still had a wonderful evening.

We chose this restaurant purely because of the molecular menu and the food was great but really outdated and lacked inspiration and the surprise effect you'd expect after 12 years of molecular dining in Italy. Nice wines, good service and really nice setting for a dinner. Not sure about the Michelin star, though. Something needs to be done pretty soon…old... More
