We were sick of the generic Italian food in Bellagio so decided to splash out on a meal at Mistral and were glad we did. The food was great and well presented, although not the best Michelin stared meal i've had (we are spoilt for choice in London) we still had a wonderful evening.

We chose this restaurant purely because of the molecular menu and the food was great but really outdated and lacked inspiration and the surprise effect you'd expect after 12 years of molecular dining in Italy. Nice wines, good service and really nice setting for a dinner. Not sure about the Michelin star, though. Something needs to be done pretty soon…old... More

Excellent service, did the mirco menu 7 course and it was ok, a couple of good courses. The desert was made with canned pineapple , bad , ice cream was good. Great room with a view, would not go again, but good to do once

The Mistral is undoubtedly the most overstated one star Michelin restaurant in the world. The tasting menu was insipid, poorly presented and to top it all, the chef ( if you can call him that) used canned peaches for his "gran finale" What a disaster of a meal. Avoid all all costs, it is not worth the view and the... More

Pidgin was cold, tuna was old, spinach was soggy, plates weren't warmed, food was simply horrible (not just average). Location, service, music, decor was great; they just need to get a chef/kitchen staff was somewhere other than McDonalds. Very disappointed.

My husband made a reservation at Mistral and asked for a special table because it was my birthday. We were not staying in the hotel. When we arrived they provided us with a fabulous table with a view that I will never forget. Our meal was delicious from beginning to end. We took our waitstaff's suggestions on most everything. I... Food was very good but not sure it deserved a Michelin star. The view cannot be overstated -- fully open to the lake and absolutely gorgeous. It feels as if you've turned back in time to a late 18th century or early 19th century luxury restaurant, with live music playing in the background (although selections were a bit cliched). Staff... Fine dining at its finest ... Menu selection, ambiance, service, presentation, and quality are top notch ... Not enough for you ??? Then you can speak with the Executive Chef and design your own dinner around a theme, such as a preferred wine, which we did one evening ... Or some new dishes not yet on the menu as part... More

We stayed at the hotel and were recommended this restaurant. Whilst the view and live music were amazing, the rest of the meal was very average with a ridiculous price tag. Good wine selection and fantastic cheeses. Waiting staff very average and slow. Overall a huge disappointment.

Spent 295 euros for a mediocre dinner for two. We expected much more given the price and location inside Villa Serbelloni (where we stayed). Our primary waiter disappeared for most of the meal - took our order and delivered the bill...that's about it. That left most of our meal to be delivered/managed by a junior waiter who appeared new and... More
