We choose the restaurant due to good comments in several guides. The staff was quite friendly, although the Italian (perhaps frequent?) customers were treated with much more attention than we. The prices are not cheap, therefore we expected that the food would be up to the price level. The pan-fried duck liver was very good, but unfortunately the sauce was... More

Was taken there by the local tourism board, delightful food and great service and a very good place to dine. Italian family run (obviously) but if the tourist board are taking people there it must be and was very good.

I can honestly say that they make the very best oven-baked, stuffed gnocchi I have ever tasted ! Good wine selection including organic. Overall a nice experience.

Very friendly and polite staff (family), very attentive. More than happy to offer up the local favorites and specialties - - we were the only ones there and it was for lunch (set-up as a favor to us by a friend). I had a rolled beef on a grape branch, I found it to be very flavorful. The pastas were... More

Definitely not a cheap restaurant but the price tag is pretty much well deserved considering the overall quality of the food and the service received. On the way back home from a long weekend away, we decided to stop in Cremona (sort of halfway on the motorway..) for lunch and we found la Sosta googling the internet. I had a... More

This was not a cheap restaurant. The menu was interesting, but the food did not quite live up to expectation. The Cremonese gnocchi to an ancient recipe were unexciting. My secondo was beef wrapped around an olive wood stick, grilled, and served with salad. It was fine, though rather reminded me of a doner kebab in texture. I think we... More

Everything about this restaurant was positive: the wait staff, the freshness of the ingredients, the preparation of the food. You can see from the photos what we had to eat. Each dish was delightful. We ordered a half bottle of wine that was wonderful and a respite from the watery white wine by the carafe we'd been drinking. I will... More

Simple but good food, had the eel & sardine in sweet sour sauce which was very good, some local cold cuts (Salumi), I had Tortolini with fresh herbs and husband had Taglettelli with Tuna Roe which we both found extremely salty and avoided on menus the rest of the trip!! Friendly, good service.

Went to La Sosta looking for some polenta which is supposed to be one of the areas standouts?! Nice restaurant close to duomo plaza and Impero hotel. Waiter who spoke English, whew, recommended a a mushroom in crust and some kind of melon formed starter that noticed 2 other couples had ordered. Both of us had rabbit with polenta and... More
